Wedding Dance by MarShere makes learning your first dance simple, relaxed, and enjoyable. With studios all over Melbourne and down the Mornington Peninsula, it’s easy to find a location close to home. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or have two left feet, the friendly instructors tailor every routine to suit your comfort level, music choice, and vibe.
Lessons are run by qualified dance teachers who know how to turn nerves into fun. They take the time to listen to what each couple wants, offering tips and feedback to help you feel confident without the pressure. You don’t need to worry about awkward shuffling or last-minute panic — you'll learn a routine that feels natural and actually enjoyable to perform. The sessions are private, relaxed, and always geared towards helping you enjoy the dance and connect as a couple.

FAQ
We have seven studios around Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsular.
Boronia • Cranbourne • Ferntree Gully • Frankston • Greensborough • Hastings • Ringwood
We suggest that you begin organising your dance lessons at least six months prior to your wedding. This timeframe enables you to locate a studio or instructor that fits your requirements and secure your booking. During the peak wedding season, many studios are fully booked with couples preparing for their first dance!
There are no strict guidelines regarding the duration of a wedding dance; however, a longer song will require you to learn more choreography or repeat certain sections.
If you're working with a band, feel free to request a shortened version of a longer song, or coordinate with your DJ to determine when you'd like the song to conclude. This doesn’t have to be a decision made immediately; consider taking a few lessons to gauge how well you both adapt to the choreography, and then identify a natural point in the song to wrap up your performance.
No... but it helps. We might sound a little biased, but dancing in front of an audience, even if it's made up of your friends and family can be daunting for many people, especially if you don't come from a performing background. Wedding dance lessons can help make you comfortable dancing with each other and in front of other people.
It’s also a skill which will stay with you and your partner forever. Becoming a good leader and follower will allow you in the future to dance in any social situation.
