Hello,

This is an interesting question, and one that many brides don't normally think about , so I'm glad you have asked it.

Having had a personal trainer for 5 years, I can offer you my opinion.

I know many brides dont feel hungry on their wedding dau due to nerves, but it is very important to have breakfast as it will help you  stay alert, help the butterflies in your tummy etc. the last thing a bride needs is to have a headache on her wedding day or feel lethargic because she hasn't eaten, and I have seen that many times. So Carbohydrates such as toast, protein such as eggs, or maybe bagel with smolked salmon or avocado is ok. Juice will maintain your suger levels as well. Try have a snack or a sandwich before the photographers arrive, even a salad, as long as you have that mid morning meal because the next snack will be after the ceremony in the late afternoon.

Normally the car hire companies will supply nibbles ( my guys do that all the time), cheese and crackers etc...they also offer champagne but it wouldn't be advisable on an empty stomach. I've seen the bridal party pack mini muffins or even pretzels or nuts and leave them in the hire cars and eat at the photo shoot after the ceremony. This will keep you going until the reception dinner. The most important thing is also to keep hydrated. Water is the best option because it keeps you hydrated and if you spill it , less chance of leaving marks on the dress.

I hope this helps.

Hi, pack dry snack food and water with you for the day, this is so there is no chance of an accidental stain! Some ideas for foods are savoury crackers, dried fruit, nuts etc.
