I will begin this by saying that there is no harm in planning your wedding whichever way you like, and bridechilla, bridezilla or otherwise, we are here to help. But if you're wondering whether you are a bridezilla or a bridechilla or somewhere in between, this is how you can characterize both: A bridezilla is someone who is very focused on every tiny detail of their wedding day and an avid perfectionist, unable to accept that some things may go wrong (or even just not perfectly to their plan). They imagine that their wedding is the world event of the year/lifetime and usually believe that their wedding is more important than anything else going on in the world. And no, not just brides are capable of being a "zilla"! There are plenty of other culprits... Mothers, fathers, sisters, grooms, bridesmaids, you name it. If you need another comparison, a bridezilla is like a diva, overly entitled! Meanwhile, a bridechilla sits at the other end of the spectrum, overly chilled out about the wedding plans. They may not have even made any plans at all. When asked about the wedding, the response will probably be a nonchalant response about keeping it small or low key. The downside to this chillaxed attitude is that during wedding planning, many decisions do need to be made, and it can be hard to get a preference from such a relaxed person! To be honest, most couples are right in between these two, and are a healthy medium of caring about their day and understanding that not everything has to be perfect for it to be a successful wedding day.
