Eventique is a boutique event studio, based in Perth WA. We create exciting and unique events for our clients with a creative and personal touch. We’re here to create and tick off those lists for you, manage all the phone calls and back and forth emails, work all the late nights, take care of all the invoices and deadlines and turn that mood board of ideas and picture in your mind into a reality. For us it’s all about us capturing the detail and you enjoying the moment. A huge part of what we do is all about taking away the stresses of organising an event or wedding and putting the fun back into it for our clients. No matter how big or small we pride ourselves on creating the ultimate guest experience, and we want you to enjoy that experience and event as much as your guests from the start to the very finish.

I’m a passionate, creative, idea generating, impulsive, spreadsheet loving list maker who loves to design creative events and experiences for my clients and their guests. I’ve been an events & wedding planner now for over 12+ years working for some large corporate organisations and freelance wedding planning with Eventique. How far ahead should you get an event planner?
I know where I want the wedding and the general look but it's not until 2020. How far ahead can I start getting things locked in? I want to be on top of it so the planning doesn't impact my thesis submission.

If you have an idea of what you want it's never too early to lock in the basics such as your venue and dates! Especially if you are particular about the type of venue you're after or if you have larger guest numbers or if you have a particular photographer in mind who is booked out far in advance. Your planner you bring on board can lock in the basics with you, then you can have a plan with them to check back in around 1 year prior to start planning the actual 'detail' such as flowers, styling etc.

Relaxing! Most brides like to spend the night before with their bridesmaids, try do an activity that takes your mind off running through nervous thoughts and overthinking details about the next day. Why not have a beauty/spa night and have a beautician come to your home for mani's/pedi's/facials, make a great tapas platter and pop a bottle of your favourite champagne. Another idea if you want to be calm and not have a lot of people around you is to book a nice hotel room, perhaps just have your mother or maid of honor stay (BM's can meet you the next morning for breakfast) and take a long soak in the tub and order room service.
