What is the difference between a Planner and a Stylist?

They are not the same!

It is a common misconception that a wedding planner and a stylist are one and the same. They are two entirely different skill sets.

A planner is the logistical, operational & organised brain behind your day; the stylist is the creative force behind the look & feel.

A lot of stylists will market themselves as planners, and this may be true for the luxury end of the market, but for the majority.... they are either a planner OR a stylist.

One of the main regrets I've heard from brides over the years…they regret not hiring a Wedding Planner. 


Many couples underestimate what it takes to design, plan, and coordinate a wedding – and why should they know?  For most of you it is the first time you will have done this.


A Wedding Planner works for you, and you only.  They are professionals who have done this countless times before.  They know what to look out for, they guide you, take away the stress of the planning, and keep everything on track.

Since a Planner works with many professional in the wedding industry, they have a wide range of connections to other vendors that you will be in need of. Thank-you Bec and Brad, our wedding angels! We literally could not have pulled off our fairly ''DIY'' wedding without you! Bec's enthusiastic yet calm support on the day was invaluable, and meant we could enjoy our wedding and spend time with our guests knowing that she was on top of all the behind-the-scenes details. If we had to organise a wedding again, we would enlist Bec's help right from the beginning, and save ourselves the time and stress of sourcing and contacting the multitude of suppliers.

Bec was simply AMAZING to work with!! She really takes the time to sit down & get to know you as a couple prior to the planning process which made us feel super comfortable. After we had our first meeting with Bec we felt instant relief! Bec would constantly check in with us, keep us updated and was always just a phone call away. Bec ensured all our suppliers were across our run sheet, went through all our contracts with us and most importantly was present on the day/night. I had zero stress on my wedding day because I knew Bec was at the venue overseeing EVERYTHING & when you meet Bec you will understand why- She is a perfectionist!
