You've already had some good advice here, and the honest answer is there's no single standard, every studio builds their packages differently. That said, when couples ask us this, what they're really asking is "what should I expect to actually walk away with," so here's how ours tend to be shaped. We start with hours of coverage, and that's the bit worth thinking about hardest. For most Queensland weddings we see somewhere between six and eight hours covering everything from getting ready through to the first part of the reception, speeches and first dance included.

From there a typical package includes your full set of edited high resolution images delivered digitally, an online gallery you can share with family, and the option to add an album or wall art. We also offer video and a photo booth, so a lot of our couples bundle photo and film together, which is worth asking any supplier about early because it changes how the day is staffed and timed. The thing I'd flag is editing: every image and every video we deliver is edited in-house by our own team, never sent offshore or outsourced, so the look you fall in love with in our portfolio is genuinely what you'll receive.

One practical tip when you're comparing packages: look past the inclusions list and ask how the hours map onto your actual run sheet. A package that ends at 8pm sounds generous until you realise a summer Queensland wedding might not even hit sunset until after 6, and you want your photographer there for that golden light, not packing up. Sketch out your rough timeline first, then match the coverage to it, and the right package usually becomes obvious.

I have a number of different packages available for my couples as no two weddings are the same- something will suit some better than others.

I have coverage only packages- meaning all images are supplied on USB and also an online gallery.

I also have packages that include an album.

And all of these above with different timeframes!

You really need to think about what parts of the day are important to you fo the photos.

If the reception is most- make sure you allow more time here!

Getting ready shots are great fun and capture the full story of the day! but this- depending on locations can still work within an 8 hour package.

Its just depends on a few things

Happy to help with any other questions

Normally it includes the photoshoot service and products. More specifically, the service includes the photographer comes on that day, and the assistant(depends on studios). And the products includes the final photos store in USB or other devices, the canvas or other material enlargement print and the Album with selected photos. I hope this will help.

It is important not to choose your Wedding photographer on price alone as there is so much that goes into capturing your Wedding Day.   Unfortunately there are a lot of photographers out there who have little experience, go to shoot a wedding with only one camera and limited equipment and obviously the results are very ordinary.  We are not the cheapest photographers around however we offer a very high quality service at very affordable rates and all our couples say we are definitely worth it.  We even offer interest free payment plans so that you can achieve the wedding album of your dreams and be able to pay it off over time.  We have 3 different wedding album packages to offer.  We've developed these over the past 15 years of being professional wedding photographers and find that couples really love the products that are included.  All our packages include 4 to 7 hours of coverage, depending on which album you're looking at,  a gorgeous album, some with an acrylic cover, the initial 16 page sides in your album, a piece of wall art, some art prints, all the images on a USB for social media, all the images you choose for your album as printable files, a password protected web gallery and your very own app for you to show off your album design.  These album packages are between $1800 and $2600 for the standard package with an opportunity to add extras or we can adjust our packages to suit our couples.  We can also add an engagement session to your package free of charge.  I hope this has helped. :)

Well this question is like a can of worms. Generally when we receive a wedding enquiry the 1st question is how much. But did you know most clients do not book on price as the key factor. I think the most important components on choosing a photographer are 1/ Style of work 2/ Trust and Rapport 3/ Package inclusions. So before you hunt around for a photographer I would grab a plain bit of paper and create 2 columns: Column 1 = wish list of components, Column 2 = essential components. Dont be dictated by what the photographer says is and isnt included. Its your wedding and your day. I like to tailor a package to suit each and every client as we are all different.I hope this helps you a little.

There is no such thing as a standard wedding package. Always read all the details before you book.

I don't think there is an industry standard as each bride and their day is unique.

We customise packages to your day and needs, so standard can be anything.

Having said that, these are some of the usual items.

  • Coverage of your day till a certain point or number of hours.
  • Images supplied to on USB at either web size, full res or both
  • A print or wall art of some kind.
  • Album
  • Thank you photos
  • Pre wedding shoot or engagement shoot.

Your day is your day and your package should be exactly as you want it.
