You've already had some lovely local options come through here, so I'll add the bit that's easy to miss when you're comparing on price alone: it isn't just the hours of coverage that matter, it's what happens to your photos after the day. The biggest difference between packages at this level is usually the editing, so before you book, ask whoever you choose how many images you'll actually receive, how long they take, and whether they personally edit your gallery. We edit every photo in-house ourselves, never outsourced or sent offshore, and that consistency is the thing you live with for the rest of your life.
A couple of practical things for a Ballarat wedding specifically. The light in the highlands sits beautifully in the late afternoon, so if your budget caps the hours, it's worth weighting your coverage toward the part of the day with your portraits and ceremony rather than padding out the getting-ready hours. Ballarat winters also get cold and dark early, so a shorter package timed well around sunset will often give you better photos than a longer one spread thin.
