On the day is fine with me as I never book 2 weddings on the same day.
I have various packages starting from a minimum of 2 hours hire.
Each photographer will do their packaging differently. I am however mindful that people might want to tailor their wedding photography to what matters most, and others are very happy to just have me for the whole day and get busy for you for 12 hours (I love that)!
If you do decide to hire me for that bit longer, just let me know the day before as 99% of the time I'm booked out to just 1 wedding on your day, and it's yours! :-)
If you decide that you want me to scoot on in earlier in the day, give me a call. If you want me to stay back to capture the fun and shenanigans at the reception for that bit longer, just ask. I'll adjust the invoice with the extra hour at an hourly rate with a new total remaining. It can be settled later...lets have fun!

We don't actually charge an hourly rate!
Instead, we charge based on the events of the day (eg. Bride prep, groom prep, ceremony, reception, etc.)
Why? If your wedding runs overtime, you don't have to stress about your photographer leaving before key moments are done, and you don't have to worry about any overtime payments if your photographer stays back. It also allows you to spread out your schedule a bit more so you don't feel rushed.
Put simply: we don't want to be a source of stress on your wedding day.
All but two of our packages are all Day packages which means there is no time limit. The ones that have time limits can be on the day as we don't double book at all. You can simply say we need you to stay for another hour and we will. Invoice will be raised for the additional time.
Heya,
I'm super flexible with the timeline of your special day, I only ever take one booking - so it is as easy as asking the question at some point throughout the day.
If it is a significant amount of time - I will simply send you an invoice afterwards.
Thanks x
I'm super flexible with timing on the day of your wedding as things can always change in your timeline!
If you decide that you want me to stay for a couple of hours longer on the day, I will just send an invoice for the extra hours at a later date.

Im very flexible with timing on the day of your wedding as things are always changing!
I will simply ask you when i about to clock off if you would like me to stay on and keep shooting all the fun :)

Hi,
I normally request the week of as this is when final payment is due but can be arranged on the day at the Bride and Groom request.
None! I shoot one wedding per day, so if you want to extend your booking, you just need to tell me, and I will stay longer :) It's your big day!

Just echoing what a lot of people are saying...
Most photographers don't book more than one wedding on the same day, because usually it's not practical in terms of timing. I mean, most ceremonies are around midday or early afternoon. And if you want them to stay for an hour later at the reception because things are not running according to plan (which is normal, to be honest), then of course they'd agree to do it. They really wouldn't want to leave a disappointed couple. Pretty much everyone in this industry adopts the attitude that it's the bride's special day, and whatever she wants, she gets.
It's different for hair and make-up artists, incidentally. They can go to multiple brides on the same day. And it's also different for entertainers at the reception.
One exception re advance notice is covering Indian weddings. There are often many short events, which are part of a multi-day wedding, and very often the ceremony is not on the same day as the reception. So, the companies that specialise in Indian weddings are set up for this with larger teams of shooters who often go between multiple events on the same day.
For these sorts of schedules, where there could be one event after another, it would be advisable to plan (and notify the company) at least two days in advance. They can arrange their team accordingly, or locate a contractor if the whole team is busy. But I should mention that these sorts of companies usually work in pairs anyway (two photographers, two videographers), so it's usually not a problem if one person stays to cover the extended time while the other person heads to the next event.
