Get Expert AdviceHow to tactfully ask guests not to post any of our wedding photos to socials
What's the best way to handle this request? We really don't want any of our photos shown on social media before we get a chance to do it ourselves. Is this something to include as early as the invitations? Or wait to the ceremony?
How long does it usually take to get wedding photos back?
We're trying to coordinate photos and video for a post-wedding event with our family.

It depends on the studio and time of year to be honest. A smaller studio will quote less time. In peak wedding season I will send through a preview gallery within three business days of the event and let the couple know it may take up to 6 weeks to get the full gallery. I like to spend a good amount of time on editing and I feel it's more important to do a great job on the gallery rather than rush it! x
What happens if our photographer is sick on the day?
If we find our dream photographer, what happens if they're sick on the day and can't photograph our wedding? Would they send a replacement or how does that work?

This has only happened to me once because of a positive covid infection (fun times)... we always have back up photographers if something goes south! x

I would recommend you asking your celebrant to ask the guests not to post on socials before the ceremony... at the end of the day you can't fully police this but I guess you can hopefully trust your guests not to do so if asked! x
