Photography is my passion.
My name is Clare which means “clear and bright”. This inspired the name of my business, Clear Light Photography.
I take photos because I enjoy it and I get so much satisfaction out of a beautiful photo. To be able to capture the smile and sparks of light in the eyes of couples as they look at one another is a joy. I love to freeze a moment of time so it can be kept forever. My style is clear, bright and colourful, with an authentic natural look.

I am a young Aussie photographer in my twenties. Photography may be my profession but I also go to it in my free time. I started Clear Light Photography in 2014, but have carried a camera everywhere for many more years. I enjoy nothing more then getting out with my camera to photograph the beautiful world we live in. Capturing magical, whimsical, special moments is what I love to do.

Yes, we do suply a second photographer, and would highly recomend having two photographers, it can only give better results! Booking a photographer who also supplies a second shooter is a great move. Having a second shooter allows your photographers to capture more candid moments and the same moment from different angles. Everything happens fast on wedding days so having a photographer who can be in two places at once is a big plus. A wedding is a large event and photographs of all the precious moments are less likely to be missed if you have two photographers on the job. A second shooter does not add much to the price but adds a lot to the result and variety of photos.
Clear, bright, and romantic. Our style is natural and candid with a little bit of traditional posed photography too.
What you see is what you get. We work with the light avaliable to creat beautiful, colourful images, like you can see in our portfolio.
This depends upon the day you have planned and the amount of time we are there taking photographs. Always remember that the idea is quality not quantity. Though we will always look to provide as much variety as possible. (Which is where a second photographer comes in handy.) There is no set amount or limit of images, we capture as many photographs as is required to tell your story.
Yes, this is precisely what we want to be able to do for you. Just let us know exactly what your vision is so that we can capture your wedding day in a way that fits you as a couple.
It can take a while to edit all those photos perfectly so apart from specific requests for a few photos, you will receive all the final images on a USB within four weeks.
Yes I will be. I, Clare am the owner of Clear Light Photography and do all the talking, photographing and editing. Alice is my second shooter. Depending on what you choose to go with, you will either have me or both of us working with you on your wedding day.
I usually travel up to three hours away from Singleton NSW. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis.
*Travel time is not included in packages.
I do not curently offer prints with my packages. But you have full printing rights too all the images so you can pick your favourites and enlarge them yourselves.
You will receive full sized jpg. files of all the best images from the day on a USB.

Is it better to have even numbers for our photographs?

Should your bridal party be an even number? Not necessarily. It is normal to have an equal number of groomsmen and bridesmaids but there are no rules to it. It would be better to have an uneven number than fill your wedding party with people who are not your closest friends but who were only there to fill numbers.
Is it better to have even numbers for your photographs? Again, not necessarily. Let your photographer know beforehand how many groomsmen and bridesmaids you will have so they can prepare group poses that will look good in a photo. If you give your photographer a head’s up they will be able to work something out so that your photos are still lovely. Of course they won’t be the same classic poses like most other people do, because it is normal to have that symmetry there, but your photos can still look lovely, and probably more unique! So it could even be a plus. But please let your photographer know before hand so they can be prepared.
Should we have a "first look"?

If you would like to of course you should have a first look! It is entirely up to you. Don't do it just because everyone else is and if what you really want is a first look while walking down the aisle then wait, if that’s not important and you want first look photos then go for it.
If you feel it would make the day better and help calm any of those nerves it could be good too. But if you would prefer the more traditional then go for that one!

You should hire a professional photographer so that you get professional images. You should have seen their portfolio and know what they can consistently create. When hiring a professional photographer you are hiring a lot of things you may not see up front. Professionals will have years of experience, they own good equipment, and have a magical editing ability, and have invested in good software for that. A professional photographer is a person who knows light, a person who has a passion for photography and creating beautiful images. They have a reputation to keep up and are not just there to get a few snaps for the album, they are there helping create those images.
They have the experience to get images that capture the love and joy of your wedding day. If there is any day of your life that you want well documented, that is the day! It will be through those photos that you will be able to look back and remember your wedding, and through those images you will be able to show anyone who couldn’t make it, what the day was like. Your photographs are what lasts along with your marriage, so don’t skimp on your photographer, get a professional.
