OVERVIEW
Photographer Ruth Petre began her career as a studio photographer and then an award winning photojournalist twenty five years ago in New Zealand. Her photography work has seen her living and working in England, the United States, and for the past fifteen years as Wet Paint Photography in Australia.
She combines a relaxed candid style with traditional and classsical photography, working quickly and unobtrusively to capture your day.
Each package includes a printable high-resolution DVD or USB of professionally edited images, a set of thumbnail proofs, and a low resolution folder for emailing.. Some package options include unique and stunning A3 and A4 size hardcover storybook style albums containing up to 200 images. These albums are also viewable online for friends and family!
About
With a strong journalistic and art background I offer a creative and relaxed approach to wedding photography. I still enjoy painting large scale acrylic canvases, and my eye for colour, design and lighting often spills over into my photography. I learned photography "Old School" in a darkroom and on large format cameras, and now embrace digital photography and the creative aspects of editing and transforming images.

FAQ
Yes - the packages are tailored to fit your requirements from 3 - 8 hours. An average wedding coverage is seven hours - which would usually cover from bridal preparations through to your first dance together. These packages are also flexible to your needs.
My extensive experience in photojournaism and fashion photography gives me an advantage in an eye for detail and in establishing a friendly rapport with my clients, to help everyone to relax and enjoy the photos as well as look their absolute best.
I do all the retouching and editing of the iimages myself after the wedding is photographed - this includes beauty retouching, colour correction and enhancement where necessary, as well as some special effects and black and white images.
There will be two folders on your USB - the high resolution images may be printed up to billboard size, and the low resolution images are perfect for emailing or posting online.
Your photo package will be ready approximately seven - ten days after your wedding.
Several of the photo packages have A3 or A4 photobook albums included, or they are available as an extra on all packages - $350 for the luxury A3 hardcover photobook and $200 for an A4 size. These make a beautiful gift for parents also. I design the books myself once you have chosen the photos and enlargements you would like, and after you have approved the online proof, they take approximately three weeks for printing, binding and courier.
It is a $250 deposit to secure your date. This is non refundable but transferrable to other photography services. The balance of your payment is due the week before your wedding and payment plans are available.
