We first crossed paths in our first year of Uni. It didn’t take long for us to realize that we both had the same drive and passion for creating cinematic films. And so the story began… The following years saw us working our butts off; from 16-hour shoot days to producing countless passion projects, we strove to be the best filmmakers we could possibly be. Eventually, our journey leads us here … to Fable Wedding Films.

FAQ

Can we get the RAW Footage from our wedding day?

We often get requests from our couples to supply the RAW footage from their wedding day. However, a lot of our RAW footage consists a bunch of shots that aren’t exactly “watchable” e.g.

shaky shots as we try to reframe for a better angle
blurry focus as we’re shifting our lens’ focus
shots that aren’t color graded

Pretty much all the boring technical building blocks that we use to craft your polished final film.

However, the FOMO is real and we know how important it is to you to want to see everything from your wedding day. As such, we created our FOMO edit!

The FOMO edit is essentially all the RAW footage of your wedding day that didn’t make it into your final film:

We strip away all the shaky and un-color graded shots that comes with RAW footage
Overlay nostalgic music
Add on a great 16mm film filter

Getting a FOMO edit in addition to your Fable Film will ensure you don’t miss a single moment from your wedding day!

The Fable team did a wonderful job with capturing the emotions and memories of our wedding day - they were extremely easy to work with, fast and informative with communication throughout the months of wedding planning and of course, the finished wedding video hit the brief perfectly plus more! We also really appreciated their sense of giving back, with 5% of the funds we paid being donated to a charity of our choice which was such a wonderful touch. We got the package with a FOMO edit and would highly recommend this, as there were so many little snippets throughout the day that were great to look back and enjoy, on top of the main wedding moments themselves! We had Sherman filming on the day, and he worked great with our families and friends and was a very calming presence amidst a chaotic day for us. We also had a fairly tight schedule and not much opportunity to go far offsite for shooting, but Sherman took the challenge on board and made the most of the location for some beautiful and creative footage. The cinematic style of our video was discussed in the pre-wedding meetings as we were quite particular with the feel and mood of the video we wanted and the moments we wanted to capture, and Fable absolutely over-delivered with something that was better than what we could've ever imagined! Fable Films were excellent from day 1. They customised our photography and videography package to suit our every need, and brought their experience and professionalism to help us make the right decisions for our big day. Jonty and Sherman brought so much energy and passion on our wedding day and were very organised, ensuring that we had no worries and we could enjoy our wedding day knowing that they were on top of it. We spent countless nights going through dozens of wedding filmographers before stumbling across Fable Films, and from that moment we were captivated! The style and storytelling they displayed in their videos had us invested in couples that we had never even seen before, yet alone met, and because of that we chose them as the filmographers of our wedding. Well I am happy to report that they have been absolutely brilliant! We had Sherman with us for our pre-wedding and main wedding shoots, and from the very beginning Sherman was just wonderful to work with. He made us feel at ease and was genuinely interested in learning more about us - it really just felt like we were hanging out with a mate who happened to be an amazing filmographer as well! Our wedding day had some challenging conditions, with a fair bit of rain and (with the behest of our photographer) a not-insignificant hike up a picturesque hill, but Sherman took it all in his stride and was just happy to have even more footage to work with! As for the final film... I struggle to put in words just how stunning and heartfelt it is. It is absolutely clear that Sherman & Jonty are incredibly talented and passionate about their work, and we have been incredibly fortunate to have them tell our story so beautifully. I have watched the film several times now with different friends and family members, and all of them have loved it... and every time I see it, I appreciate it even more. They've captured the warmth and the love I have felt and will feel for my wife every day, and I know we will both treasure this memory for the rest of our lives. Thank you again so much, Sherman & Jonty. I know we have told you this already over Zoom, but you guys are absolutely incredible and I cannot express how grateful we are for your work.

We take 4-6 months to deliver your wedding video because we want to make sure it's a special and memorable keepsake for you to cherish for years. Our team carefully selects the best footage to create a compelling story, enhances the audio and colors, and adds special effects and music to make it extra special.

We're often busy throughout the year, which is why it may take a bit longer to receive your video. But we promise that the final product will be worth the wait!

Do wedding photographers/videographers charge more on New Year's Eve?

Wondering if there are surcharges for weddings on special dates like this. We're thinking of a NYE wedding.
