I consider myself primarily a documentary wedding photographer with a candid, soulful and unfussy style. I find the best images often happen in the in-between. This type of photojournalism is my favourite way of getting 'the gold'.
I try and mix these real moments with a few timeless, relaxed and naturally posed portraits of the two of you to be able to deliver a well rounded collection of beautiful memories for you to treasure forever.
I'm drawn to a film-like quality and hence I embrace a bit of grain and blur, darkness as well as light and anything else that conveys mood. Emotion, a sense of timelessness and honest moments are what get me excited the most, whether your big day is bright and sunny, darkly romantic, styled by the crème de la crème or put together on a whim in someone's backyard.
I want my images to reflect the truth about your day; the setting, the small gestures and the warmth and emotion that was felt amongst you and your guests.

I've been documenting couples in love, full time for over a decade.

It was always bound to be this way, having sifted through my Dad's art magazines, keeping scrapbooks from a young age - I've always been hugely drawn to humans as my main muse, both in the sense of body/form and the rich landscape of our inner worlds. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to call working behind the viewfinder not only my job but my passion. When I'm not shooting weddings, I find a lot of other things that move me to push the shutter button. I’m pretty partial to roadtrip adventures
