I'm a Canadian born photographer with over 10 years of experience behind the camera. After living in Canada and The USA my whole life I've happily settled in Cairns with my beautiful wife and awesome Son Austin. With over 50 weddings to my name, I'm starting fresh here in Australia and look forward to having the opportunity to photograph your wedding soon!

Absolutly! If you're still deciding what photographer to go with I'm happy to put a hold on your date. If another couple inquires about the same date then I'll make sure to let you know. From there I hold the date for another 24 hrours and at that point it comes down to the couple that confirms the booking with a contract first.
For sure, this is sometimes very helpful in making sure we capture photos of all your family members and no one gets left out. We'd hate to miss photos of you with important family members on a very special day.
I shoot very candidly throughout the day but I always make time for more posed / family photos, usually after the ceremony and before the reception. I try to get it all captured within 1 hour so that you can get back to the party.
I tend to book dates a year in advance but always have gaps in my calendar to always feel free to reach out and inquire about your date.
All bookings require a signed contract and a 50% deposit, the remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding date. Once the contract is signed and deposit is made, your booking is locked in and no other bookings are made on that date.
If you book Wes Side Photography, I will be the one that photographs your wedding. If you choose a package that includes a second photographer then I'll bring in another professional photographer to shoot along side me. No matter what package you choose I bring an assistant with me to help with set ups, dress fixes, lighting etc.
