About
I am a qualified New York Institute of Photography photographer with additional certification as wedding photographer. I am also accredited by the Australian institute for Photography. I believe in happily-ever-afters - 16 years, 4 kiddies and two naughty dogs after my own wedding day, I am still just as much in love with my husband as the day we said "I do". To me a wedding is not the end of a fairy tale, but just the beginning.

My quotes include an online Wedding Album Preview within a week after your wedding, and a usb memory stick with the high quality full size edited images withinn a month after your wedding. The amount of images will vary depending on the lenght of coverage, but it is usually a minimum of 200 images.
Your suppliers have been booked in, your invites have been send out, and it is the week before your wedding. Some last bits of advise:
1. Touch base with all your vendors to make sure everyone is on the same page, and confirm times and addresses.
2. Dont sweat the small stuff. Your guests have no idea what you planned for your day, and if things do not go 100% according to plan, nobody will even notice. Just enjoy the day, even if there happen to be a hiccup or two along the way.
3. If you are getting married in summer, remember sunscreen for all the members of the bridal party (grooms included). And if close to water, mosquito repellant can be quite handy!
4. Brides: make sure you have a pair of flats - the day can be quite long standing in heels. And taking awesome photos usually involves heaps of standing and walking - and that is even before your Reception (and dancing!) starts!
5. Have something handy to calm you down the night before. Just don't use too much!
6. Get mum / maid of honour, to have extra lippy, deodorant, tissues, headache pills, bandaids and water in her purse - you never know if you might need it!

Yes, it is industry practice. Payment should be made in accordance with your vendor contract. And of course there is nothing worse than settling outstanding accounts during your honeymoon!

Yes, I can! I have a good idea of what times to allow for each event at your wedding. With a reception timeline I usually advise to follow your venue's recommendations though - I might suggest a tweak or two to allow for sunset photos, but apart from that the venue's event manager / your dj usually have the best idea of what time frames to allow.

First of all take a look at their portfolios - whether it be on their website / instagram account / facebook page. Decide whether you like their style of photography - every photographer uses a different approach, and you have to select a photographer whose style appeals to you. Then it is important to meet up with the photographer before finalising a booking. You are going to spend several hours on your wedding day with your photographer so it is important that you feel comfortable with him / her. Also ask to see a complete set of photos - photographers only use their best photos in their portfolios, but you also need to see a complete set from a single wedding to really evaluate their photography. And lastly, keep your budget into consideration.

The best answer is that it depends. It depends on which events you would like to have good shots from - if you want good shots from the Ceremony, of you as couple, of the first dance etc, the minimum amount of hours to get those will depend on your timeline for the day - ie, the time from the start of your ceremony up until your first dance. If you want good shots only from the ceremony, the minimum amount of hours will depend on the length of your ceremony. And of course it would also depend on the photographer you choose - some offer shorter packages, but others only offer long packages, and if you decide on a photographer, you will be bound by the shortest amount of hours they offer.
