What about bad weather?

Ok, if we have scheduled a portrait session that can be rescheduled - I would recommend it so we can have the beautiful golden light in our photos. If it is a wedding than we will not be rescheduling and embracing the day! I have clear umbrellas we can utilise and suggestions for what to do - my equipment is weather proof so it will just come down to how you feel about dancing in the rain on your wedding day!

Black and white photography - yes or no?

Personally, I love black and white photos - it is what draw me to photography when I started developing my own photographs in the darkroom. But, I understand it is not for everyone. So, I usually create an album with 90% colour images and 10% black and white. Talk to me if you would like this ratio different. And, if you prefer an all black and white album then you will receive a nice discount on your package - again, just talk to me.

Do you offer custom packages for elopement and destination weddings?

Yes! I sure do! I am often looking for excuses to travel - I have family and friends in Europe, Hawaii, various parts of Asia and across Australia - so I tend to offer affordable destination wedding packages and with much gratitude align it with a little holiday for myself. I am a well seasoned traveller so I can assist with the logistics of planning such an incredible experience.

Do we have to feed you?

You do not have to but I am not going to lie - I would appreciate it. If so, chat to me about the plan so I do not miss anything important because I am eating something.

Send me an email or message through any of my online platforms. I enjoy receiving as much information as you feel like writing about yourself, who else will be involved and the event, wedding, and/or portraits. It is ideal for us to meet before the shoot, however, in the case of events it is not typically necessary and can be your decision. Finally, to secure the booking I require a deposit and signed contract.

How many photographs will I receive?

It seems that I average about 60 quality photos an hour. However, this can depend on what I am shooting. For example, if I am directing, changing light/ location/ subjects and other factors can affect the continuous follow of shooting or if there is a lot going on I can get up to 100! I always focus on capturing as many moments as I can but what is also important is the quality of the images. Be ensured that you will receive a complete album meeting your expectations - well, hopefully they will exceed your expectations.

How will I receive my photos?

You will receive an email as soon as your photos are ready with a link to your online gallery. You can view the photos and save them from there - on a phone press on the images and select “save image”, on a computer right click and save.

You will also receive a little parcel in the mail with your own USB and a few postcard prints done by my favourite printers Atkins Lab

What equipment do I use?

Canon 5D mark iv
Canon EOS R
Sigma Art 35mm f1.4
Sigma Art 50mm f1.4
Sigma Art 85mm f1.4

I own two Canon cameras - one is a full frame DSLR 5D mark iv and the other is Canon’s mirrorless EOS R. I shoot with the 5D recording to two cards simultaneously for back up on the day. I prefer to use prime lenses because they provide beautiful image quality and Sigma Art is my favourite. Typically I will have a 50mm or 85mm on one camera and a 35mm on the other. This will give variety to the images and suit all moods and situations.

I prefer natural light as much as possible but I do have a variety of artificial light sources and access to larger lighting equipment if required - I will let know you if it is.

What about storage of my images?

Your precious memories will be stored in your online gallery. I use what I believe is the best online gallery platform - Pic Time. Depending on the package you chose - cloud storage of your gallery will be included for 1 year or available for a very reasonable subscription fee.

Also, you will receive a nice wooden usb posted to you.

Because, no one will lose their images if I can help it!

We are not very good in front of the camera. Will you be able to help us?

Yes! You will be in good hands. You can read my lovely words from people who have been in front of my camera with the same concern amongst my reviews. I will chat with you about ways you can improve yourself in front of the camera but mostly I chat with you to make you comfortable and then look for the moments and positions what work for you. I avoid anything that would considered stiff and emotionless. I describe my style as candid and modern - just trust me and you will have fun and love the results.

Jaz was absolutely amazing, would recommend her to everyone! She made us feel very comfortable, and even when my husband started to get annoyed she helped calm him down in order to get our nice photos. She’s extremely organised and very lovely when communicating to. She was absolutely lovely throughout the entire process, didn’t make us feel uncomfortable with having the camera throughout the ceremony, had a few laughs. We had Jaz on our wedding. Super organized and promptly person but doesn’t have problem to be flexible. On our big day, our side were a bit behind the schedules but she worked around it and we still get all the shots we wanted. She’s very dedicated on what she’s doing. You expect to find her climbing trees, rocks or get herself wet/cold/burn under the sun just to take the best pictures. All while keeping us in a good mood and being entirely happy when she’s doing her magic. She gave us follow up right after the wedding and sent our pictures in very professional time frames (super fast exactly within the time frames we're being told). Is it normal to pay photographers in full before the actual wedding day?

Just wondering if it is standard practice to pay vendors in full for services such as photography prior to the actual wedding day?

Yes, I can confirm what everyone else had said. Yes, it is normal to pay in full before the wedding day.

I deposit is tyically required to confirm your date. Then the full amount due by a specificed date before the wedding.
