Kym Wilson Music

Kym began an illustrious singing and flute career as a recording artist from the age of 6 performing regularly on television and radio in Brisbane.

At age 17 with a No. 1 hit “Dreamboat’’ under her belt she found endless work possibilities. Kym migrated to Melbourne and shortly after completing the improvisation course at the University of Melbourne with flute was soon asked to teach there.

Kym’s guitarist Adam Orlando is accomplished in all styles of jazz, latin, bossa, afro, fusion and works as one of the most inspiring and in demand guitarists in Melbourne. The Kym Wilson duo has the sophistication to blend in a function setting either as background music (ie. Pacabel Canon or request for bridal walk) upbeat dance music or concert performance, providing an uplifting ambience.

KYM WILSON offers the triple threat of vocals, flute and percussion.Whilst gigging at weekly residencies and teaching at Melbourne University for many years, Kym launched an album called “Bright Oranges” with guitarist Mike Doyle and Geoff Kluke at the Monsalvatt International Jazz Festival. She recorded an album with touring classical flute ensemble “Zauberflote”, performed as support for Christine Anu. Kym can perform to suit the occasion be it romantic ballads or energetic dance music.
