Vanessa Krumma Music is a Gold Coast/Brisbane based wedding band performing at weddings and events throughout South East Queensland. Available as a solo, duo, trio, live band and DJ , with a range of music for everyone.
We're super easy to work with and enjoy nothing more than seeing you and your guests sing and dance along to our music! We can cover all the moments of your day from your Ceremony through to the end of your Reception. Sit back and enjoy some beautiful acoustic music, or join us later on pumping out your best dance moves on the dance floor! From modern pop-tunes to old-school classics, RnB hits to smooth Jazz; there is plenty of option!

Vanessa is a vocalist and performer who has been working in the live music industry for over a decade. With her years of experience performing with many bands and entertainment companies, Vanessa brings professionalism, dedication and passion to her music. Vanessa is down to earth, easy to work with and she absolutely loves bringing music to your wedding day.

We offer a range of packages that cover all parts of your day.

As an idea - this is what we generally offer for each part of the day.
Ceremony
Pre- Ceremony we can either play some live acoustic music as your guests arrive, or simply have some acoustic background music playing on spotify. It really depends on what you prefer! Our incredible guitarist is a wiz at playing some beautiful instrumental melodies while you wait at the alter for the ceremony to begin.
During the Ceremony we always offer to learn three songs:
- Aisle Walk
- Signging Registery
- Exit Song
Of course if you prefer these on spotify with the original artist that is also fine!
We know this can be so difficult to choose songs as there are so many amazing choices so feel free to ask for any help and advice with this. We can turn most songs into beautiful acoustic covers, so don't be afraid to choose something faster that needs to be slowed down.
Canapés
Following your ceremony, while you are off taking some magical photos, we will entertain your guests during your canapés with some live, easy listening, background music. It's a really nice addition, while your guests mingle and enjoy some good food and drinks.
Depending on how long your Canapés are scheduled for it will be either one longer set (approx 1 hr) or up to 2 x 45 min sets
Our Acoustic duo is definitely the most popular option for the Cermeony + Canapés portion of the day. But we do have other options, if you are looking for keys or perhaps upgrading to a trio for your canapés. We are happy to accomodate what you are wanting so just let us know.
Reception
- Dinner
For your reception during dinner and around your formalities we will perform live background music.
Again depending on your run sheet and flow of the night we usually play 2 x 45 min sets.
During the first part of your reception we offer to either learn or play the original song on spotify depending on your preference and our song list:
- Cake Cutting Song (live or spotify)
- First Dance (live or spotify)
- Parents Dance (live or spotify)
- Dance
Following the final formalites (usually your first dance / parents dance) it is time to party!
If we are playing these live then it would be 2 x 45 min dance music sets - all the old and new classics!
We can play these live as duo (with tracks to bring in the higher energy and bigger dance sound) or you can choose to have a live band for your reception
We also offer a 2 hour DJ Package for your dance floor if you prefer us to transition from live dinner music to DJ decks for your dance floor.
Our Duo can do all of your music for the entire day - including a high energy dance floor. It is a super popular choice to add on the DJ package for the dance floor so that you have the best of both live and Dj music.
In addition to our Duo / DJ option. We cannot speak more highly of our Saxaphonist. What a vibe and energy!! Our sax player can join our duo for your dinner music live, and then bring in that amazing sound with the DJ for the dance floor.
And of course we have our LIVE BAND. If you want the real deal then this is it.
Trio, 4 piece, 5 piece or 6 piece.
Our duo starts with female vocals and guitar, and then we can build the band with any of the following - Sax, Bass, Keys, Drums - and even a second vocalist - we have all options.

FAQ
Yes we do. We know what works really well so we are always here to guide you on that, but we are so happy to work with our couples so that you can have exactly what you are wanting on your day.
Absolutely! We want this day to be everything you want and more.
For the ceremony, typically couples will have specific song requests for:
Walking down the isle, signing the register and the wedding recessional
For the reception:
First Dance, Father/daughter dance, Cake Cutting
And of course, if there are any other requests we will always do our best to accommodate.

Yes - in fact it's become a really popular option amongst couples to have live music for the entire day and add on our 2hr DJ package for the final part of the day so that you have the best of both live and DJ music.
Our duo can do it ALL - from creating a beautiful acoustic feel, as well as an energetic hype on the dance floor.
We can also offer:
- Solo (vocals to tracks) - perfect for those more intimate weddings
- Solo (guitar, acoustic/jazz) - stunning and simple to create ambience and magical moments
- 3,4,5 piece band - best for your reception
Perhaps you would like a mix of the above, starting your ceremony with our duo, and then explanding to a larger band size for your reception. It is all possible, so please talk to us about what you are wanting and we will do our best to make it happen.
Our style covers a range of genres, spanning across a range of old school and new hits, pop, rock, soul and jazz.
Let us know if you have a favourite artist or style, so we can do our best to tailor our sets to your taste.
Yes, we provide all the music for in between sets, that will fit the mood of the moment. And you are welcome to give us any playlists that you have created for break music as well! We always ask our couples to send us a list of any requests or prefered music. What we don't play live we will put into personalised playlists for your break music!
Yes of course! We are based on the Gold Coast, but we will travel far and wide. Most commonly our weddings are located between Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Toowoomba & Sunshine Coast. Any locations that are greater than 60 minutes travel time do incur a travel fee per musician to cover travel time, petrol and expenses. This will be detailed and adjusted accordingly when you notify us of your venue location.

We ask our couples to choose their favourite songs for their Ceremony and First dances. We promise to learn these even if we don't have them on our song list. We have had some really beautiful choices.

Is it OK to have a do-not-play list at our wedding?
Hi there. There are some songs I really don't want played at our wedding but I know some of my family will request it. Can I give our DJ a list of these songs - but how do they handle it with the guests? I don't want to offend anyone.

It is definitely okay to mention any artists/songs that you don't want played or requested by your guests.
We always ask our couples for a do-not play DJ list and also a list of artists that they really want to hear, or even a playlist with all their favourite songs so we can tailor the music for them.
When we have song requests by the guests that we know the couple doesn't want to hear - we generally ask them to check with the bride/groom and come back to us. Another way is to say it will be played a little later... usually your guests will be having such a good time that they forget along the way what they asked for!
What are some great first dance songs?
