About
We’re Jess and Zeke—real-life couple, music lovers, and the duo behind August West. We feel so lucky to call this our job! We met through a gig that turned into an 8-hour coffee date, a 17km hike, and the start of a life we now get to share on and off stage. We got engaged in Nashville last year, and are deep in wedding plans ourselves. When we’re not making music, we’re drinking coffee in the sunshine, playing board games with loved ones, and chasing our gorgeous Golden Retriever pup, Charlie.

Absolutely!! We love to turn any kind of tune into a warm, folky moment. Or if you love the original track, we will take care of playing it through the speakers.
We will happily learn up to three songs for your special day (inclusive in all of our packages), and our current set list is full to the brim of songs from a wide range of genres and eras.
We're happy to provide as much or as little guidance as possible when deciding on songs for the key moments of your big day - everything from your 'aisle song' right up to the 'farewell song' that will wrap up your best day yet.
Yes! We understand the importance of putting a real person to a name or photo! One of our favourite parts about our job is getting to connect with beautiful humans like yourselves.
When you first book in with us, we will send you a form to gather up all of the ideas, visions and details for your special day. At the same time, we'll also reach out to schedule a video or phone chat, so that we have the chance to meet and discuss how we can bring your musical dreams to life. In some cases, we can even arrange to meet in person with you at your wedding venue (if this is your preference).
Things don't always go according to plan! A great wedding is bound to be filled with surprises. Whether it's wet weather, timing changes or Uncle John asking for a Fleetwood Mac song - we are flexible, open and committed to doing our best (musically, professionally and all of the above).
We will happily work through any shifts and changes with you (or your wedding co-ordinator) and your wedding vendor team. Trust us, we've got this!!
We've got you covered! You, your MC and your guests are more than welcome to use our microphones for announcements speeches at any stage during the event. No extra sneaky fee required - all inclusive in all of our packages.
Your dog plays tambourine?! There is so much to unpack here! We love when furry friends are a part of these special days!
Well, Zeke never says no to a Tim Tam!
From the moment we wake up, we are putting out the good vibes and intentions for an amazing day ahead. We give lots of love to our voices and warm them up really well, dress to impress in our folky formal outfits we've prepared, and familarise ourselves with the running order, sets and visions for the big day. A bit of journalling, meditation and movement to feel our best!
We love to arrive at least 3 hours before a wedding kicks off, to make sure everything is set up, sound checked and ready to run smoothly for the day ahead. We do everything we can to make sure that we create the most magical, musical atmosphere possible for the lovely humans we perform for!
We can absolute carry the day or night into a DJ dancefloor! We offer a full day + DJ package (called 'Dream Deluxe + DJ).
We find that it really helps to have someone to read the room and cater for the dancefloor music, rather than using a playlist. At every wedding we DJ, we challenge ourselves to keep everyone dancing for as long as possible! We will work with you prior to the wedding day to curate your dream playlist, plus can take requests on the night. Bonus points when the newlyweds are included in this of course!!

Yay!! We are so grateful to be included in your big day. You can send us an enquiry via 'Easy Weddings' to let us know a few details about your wedding and which package you're interested in. Once we confirm our availability - we will send you a booking agreement and deposit details (30% of the total booking).
We'll follow up with a questionnaire to help us understand the running order and musical visions for your day, and we'll lock in a time to have a phone or video chat.
We can stay in touch via email, call or text all the way up to the big day if you'd like. We'll also reach out to some of your other vendors to introduce ourselves ahead of time, so that we are ready to play the dream team come wedding day.
