Being given the job of choosing songs is a big task!

Thinking of songs that have been shared within special moments is a great idea, and adds a really unique and emotional touch. Try asking them who their favourite bands or singers are, any concerts they have been to together, or songs that reflect the couple themselves (and how much they love each other).

Ceremony songs can be anything that suits the couple, but often more gentle, sweet and beautiful songs for the ceremony can really bring a focus onto the bride and groom. A band and a DJ bring completely different music to your wedding!

A band has the ability to be very intimate and beautiful, with live singing and instruments. As they are live musicians, they are able to shift and change (on the spot) for moments like if the bride or groom is delayed walking down the isle, they can play for longer and extend the song. A band is also perfect for the first dance, which is so beauitful and special.

A band also provides easy and sweet transitions between moments, after the ceremony they can energise the room while the wedding party are taking photos, without being too distracting from the couple. It also provides something for people to actually watch and appreciate the beauty of.

A DJ brings energy and fun, they are perfect for getting people on the floor dancing, taking requests and keeping the energy up! This is also the time when a couple can dance to all their favourite songs (that might swing from folk, to pop, to heavy metal!). A DJ can also play all night long.
