I've heard people having their ring "re-dipped"? I'm new to expensive jewelery and I don't know how to keep my ring looking new.

White gold jewellery is naturally a dull grey colour, so it is electroplated (coated) in Rhodium which gives it the lovely bright, white colour you see when your ring is new. Over time the rhodium plating will wear off. We recommend that white gold rings are rhodium plated (or re-dipped as you have heard) every 2-3 years to keep the metal looking as new. This is a straightforward process that most jewellers can do in a reasonably short turnaround.
Generally we recommend our clients visit our showroom regularly for a free ultrasonic cleaning of their ring while they wait. Diamonds attract grease and dirt which can make them look dull. Cleaning regularly will keep your ring looking its best. At home you can clean your ring in a solution of warm soapy water and gently brush it with a soft tooth brush.
Hi Tayla
The best way to keep your ring clean is put the ring in a cup with four capfuls of cloudy ammonia and then put boiling hot water in the cup.
Leave it for a few hours and then just rinse the ring under cold water.

Hi Tayla,
A simple plan to keep your diamond jewellery looking beautiful is to soak it in a gentle degreasing solution, such as water with a few drops of mild dish soap, once a week. After you remove the diamond from the cleaning solution, use a soft, clean toothbrush to remove any remaining dirt.
