Wedding rings are one of those items that will be used long after your wedding day, so like picking the right photographer to document your memories, it's an important item to prioritise. We recommend buying them earlier in the wedding planning process. In fact, that's part of why we sell wedding ring sets (an engagement ring + wedding ring together).
In terms of timing - this is a generalisation of course, but for most jewellers it'll take around 4-8 weeks to create custom wedding rings. Some jewellers have longer turnaround times than others - so find out from your preferred jeweller what their turnaround time is and plan accordingly.
One thing to remember is that your wedding rings themselves don't need to be cohesive with the aesthetic theme of your wedding - you can use themed ring boxes or a ring bearer dressed in a way that matches your theme. When purchasing your rings, the focus should be on you and your partner having rings you both love, so that you will love wearing them after your big day.
