A suggestion is to make your ceremony time on the invite, 15 minutes or 1/2 hour earlier than the actual time you have booked in.
this should narrow down the chances of people arriving late and don't worry about them waiting for you, your the Bride!
Hope this helps you a bit.

Hello there MikiC,
GREAT question.
This is always a challenge in today's busy world - We have the ANSWER!!
We offer very high quality Save the Date Magnets to send out to all your guests, 2 to 18 months prior, with customised images and of course the date and venue of your happy day embossed in "Metallic" Gold, Silver, or your chosen colour - (we can even print your own pictures on the Save the Date Magnets)
The Magnets are solid magnet (not paper) and 0.8mm thick - DL size which is great to stand out on the fridge or any steel based surface.
We also have, to compliment the Save the Date Magnets, Very High quality "Keepsake" drink coasters with beautiful images that are also embossed in "Metallic" Gold, Silver, or your chosen colour with your chosen message.
Please view our EazyWeddings store or contact us for more info.
Best wishes and good luck for your Happy Day.
Regards
Adrian
A lot of invitations now say 2:30pm for 3pm start. This gives the guests a direct time for the ceremony start time without saying "don't be late!'
You could write something on your invites like:
"3.40pm arrival for 4pm ceremony"
Hope that helps :)
I’ve known couples to indicate that the wedding ceremony starts 15 minutes before it actually does on their invites. That way, your known late culprits have an extra 15 minute window to get there. Those guests who are always on time won’t mind waiting the extra, after all, it’s your big day!
Hope that helps :)

Hey Miki :)
It's definitely a good idea to make the start time on your invitations around 15-30 mins prior to the actual ceremony start time.
If you have an additional information card as part of your invitation suite, then make a note on the card about allowing extra time for traffic and parking. This should give your guests a bit of a heads up, so they think about their travel plans.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with!
