Customised wedding invites with our drawing

I love to draw and I would like to draw a picture of my fiance and I and have this incorporated into an invitation design. How would I go about this?

Hello, and . Congratulations!! We have certainly worked with clients in the past who have had illustrative artwork they have created and wanted to include in their wedding stationery. The best way to approach this is to come in a chat with us regarding the overall design you are wanting to achieve. Bring in the artwork you have created and any other inspirational images you have. We can the discuss sizes, colours, stock choices and envelopes choice and provide you with a quote. Kind Regards Olga @ Papermarc

I love this idea! Such a lovely way to make your invitations truly unique. It does depend on the type of illustration, but there are a few ways to incorporate it onto the design. Feel free to email me what you are envisioning and we can come up with some ideas. I recently letterpress printed an invitation that had a pencil sketch of the actual wedding chapel that the brides father drew for them - really sweet.

Hi there

Congratulations! What a gorgeous idea!

There are several ways in which you can go about this:

Is this something that you would like to completely design yourself including layout with text etc ready for print or engage a designer to do the layout and use your illustration as part of the design?

We can facilitate both for you if required. We can assist you with designing the invitation suite creating print ready files for you to print yourself. We can also use your drawing or a selection of your drawings to include in an invitation that we collaborate with you to create. You may then choose to select the the digital only option (print yourself) or we can arrange printing for you.

Either option, we will advise you on the file format required of your illustration and discuss the style and dimensions you require. This will determine the scale etc of the illustration required - bigger is always better as it is easy to make an image smaller and print ready than larger. If you want your illustration letterpressed, you will need to create it within certain technical parameters for it to print appropriately. If you are digitally printing the image, a full colour 300dpi scan of the artwork is required.

It is also a great idea to frame the illustration as a keepsake of your wedding too.I sincerely hope you found this helpful.

Many thanks

Hi there! This sounds like such a fun project :) I'm actually doing the same thing for my sister's wedding invitations this year! Please email me your drawing and I can email you some examples of how this can be incorporated into your invitations. If you have specific ideas, I'd love to chat to you about it in more detail. I can also digitise the drawing so that it works seamlessly with the rest of the design. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Lava xx

Hello!

You can simply complete a pencil sketch and then email it through and I can digitise and colour (if you would like) the image for inclusion onto your invitations. :) ~Cat x
