I didn't have place cards at my wedding, but I did have a seating plan. The tables were small (around 8 per table) so it was easy for guests to choose where they wanted to sit.
However if you want your guests to sit in a particular spot, I highly recommend using place cards BUT there are alternatives.

This may depend on your guest numbers and table arrangements. If you have set sitting, than place cards can be very helpful for your guests as there is nothing worse than guests walking around confused trying to find their seat!
We offer a range of place card styles, as well as personalised menus which includes the guest's name (2 in 1!). Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss your requirements further or head straight to our website at www.theprintableshop.com.
Thanks!

We have been moving away from the traditional idea of place cards and introducing personalised menu cards instead!
It helps eliminate the cost of an extra card, and is a nice personal touch for your guest to enjoy.
