What's a rough timeline for hair and makeup on the day?

Hi there. Would love a rough timing guide for my hair and makeup. I've got 4 bridesmaids, plus me, and my mum. We are staying at a hotel nearby the wedding venue and the ceremony starts at 5pm. Thank you!

I would say 1.5 hours for each person. All depends on the makeup looks and hairstyles that bride and bridesmaids

Would like for the day.

Hi there,

I usually allow an hour and 15 minutes for hair and MU and always make sure I give an hour grace at the end for anything to be touched up and to make sure you're ready with plenty of time

Hi..

You would need roughly an hour per person per service. For 6 ladies it would be about 5 and a half hours to 6 hours. You usually work back from the time your photographer wants you ready by. That is normally around an hour and a half - two hours before your ceremony. A bit earlier if you are having a first look.

I allow an hour per person for hair and the same for makeup. Working alongside a colleague we work on one person each at a time, one makeup one hair.
We plan time to finish an hour before you need to leave for your ceremony.
With 6 hair & makeups this would be 6 hours plus an extra hour for incidentals.

Hope this helps with your search and planning your schedule for the day.

Hi,  I always recommend having your hair and makeup all completed by arund 2hrs before your ceremony, to give you some just in case time, photo time and getting dressed time.  That way you are not rushed, or stressed for time.

The average time for makeup application is around 45minutes per person

Upstyling hair around 1hr

Half upstyled hair around 45minutes and

Downstyling generally takes around 30mintues.

These are all ball-park rough figures, as the length, thickness, extentions, specific styles and the stylist's techniques can all affect the times.

The number of stylists will also affect the time frame needed.

I say 1 hour per person for hair :-)

10 - 4 pm would be great leaving time at end to dress and not rush
