Makeup HQ only use the highest quality products on all our clients. From Vegan to crultey free brands to luxe brands such as Tom Ford, Georgio Armani, YSL, Charlotte Tillbury, NARS, Hourglass and Pro only brands such as RCMA, Face Atelier, Temptu Airbrushing & ELEMENTWO. We belive that quality is such an important factor in all our makeup application.
We highly recommend all our brides booking in a trial prior to their wedding day. WHY? A trial is where the bride gets to meet our artist before their big day and to discuss the exact makeup look and/or hairstyle that they are wanting on their wedding day. You also get to meet with your artist that will be doing your hair/makeup on the day and discuss exactly what you envision. Once you have had your trial, you can secure your date by paying a deposit.
"How do I book in a trial"
All our trials are booked via our bookings tab on our website, which is simple and easy www.makeuphq.com.au/book
Our trials are conducted in our makeup studio at shop 2, 650a Sydney Road Brunswick, VIC 3056.
You can easily book in your wedding date by selecting "DEPOSIT" tab on our website. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. No deposit means that your date is availble to other brides.
As soon as you can to avoid missing out on your date. Sara recommends booking in your trial as soon as you can, as this is one less stress you need to worry about, and we do recommend getting your trial done when you may have a special event on. This way you can wear your makeup out and see how it lasts throughout the day.

As we have a dedicated hair and makeup studio in Brunswick, WE ARE ONLY MOBILE FOR YOU ON YOUR WEDDING DAY. MakeupHQ charge a travel fee if travelling more than 10km from the studio and a travel fee will be charged according to your getting ready location. If you are getting ready at a hotel/CBD Makeup HQ will charge a parking/vallet parking fee.
Our minimum requirements are 4 or more services before we travel out of our studio.
Airbrushing has been around for a very long time. The difference is all in the application as well as the product formulations that are used. At Makeup HQ we pride ourselves in our airbrushing techniques and Sara has taught many makeup artists in the industry the art to airbrushing.
Airbrushing uses a specially deisgned airbrush gun and air compressor which sprays the face with a lightweight mist. The application is flawless, longerlasting and mimics flawless skin. The technology of the products instantly smooths lines and softens imperfections, along with lightweight, long-lasting, buildable coverage, skin takes on a soft focus effect- natural youthful, beaming. This is why we choose TEMPTU & ELEMENTWO as our products of choice and have been for years.
Sara and her team have been servicing the bridal industry for over 20years.
Sara started her career in 2001, specialising in fashion, bridal, advertising and also tv makeup. The team varry from 3 years to 8years.

Hi there. Wondering about emergency backup plans in the event my makeup artist is sick or is in an emergency on our wedding day. What contingency plans are in place? Do I need to pack my own makeup just in case?

Do makeup artists generally travel?
Hi, we're considering a semi-rural wedding, but not wanting to limit our suppliers to just the town. How far do makeup artists generally travel without charging extra, and at what point would they charge a travel fee? Thank you!

Most artists do travel out for weddings, and some do have a minimum call out fee or minimum persons before they come out to you. Travel fees, parking fees if getting ready at hotel/motel are also charged.
