Hello Brides to be, Mothers of Bride & Groom flowers are generally on the left side, close to the heart. Some Mothers prefer to choose whether they want flowers or not. They can wear a corsage or maybe put flowers on a handbag or a wrist spray which can also be attached to a bracelet for example. Hope this helps you. Regards, Lyndall

Traditionally, the MOTB/MOTG both wear a pin on buttonhole on the wedding day, but this is simply tradition and need not be followed unless you would like to. Generally, everyone who has one should wear their buttonholes/boutonnieres on the same side, their left side, (above their heart!). It doesn't matter if they are the mother of a bride or the mother of a groom, they should all go on the same side, as it will look nicer in pictures if they are all on the same side. Keep in mind, though, that some ladies prefer to not wear their flower on their chest (especially if their outfit is strapless or has spaghetti straps, the flower may be an annoyance, and a wrist corsage could be a better option. Discuss with your mother/s prior and discuss with your florist as they will be happy to create whatever you need. Your mum may even be more suited to a flower crown! The sky is the limit, so don't let tradition or conventional standards get in the way of what you/your mum wants. Remember to make sure their corsages will look nice with their outfits, too, as some ladies would prefer to wear bright colours or floral prints at a wedding and the flowers you've chosen may not match their garments, so a simpler colour scheme for their corsages/buttonholes may make more sense, like an ivory bloom and some greenery, for example. Confirm this with your florist prior to the wedding day so that they're aware of what kind of look you are going for and can incorporate your vision into their design.
