I've seen some gold flowers on social media recently. Are they real?

They're real flowers, but are they spray painted or treated to be gold? How does that work?

Yes & No is the answer

You can have 24K Gold Dipped/Coated Real Roses but there are also artificial versions as well. It usually takes 24/48 hours to dip and dry the flower. You can spray flowers yourself but as a textile artist I have not tested the quality of this process. I would want to coat one and then leave it for a couple of months on the bench to see what happens.

I don't know how durable the coating is but they really do look pretty.

Hello..........Dear Bride,

Yes they would have been real and sprayed with a special floral spray.  Can be used for focal points in any arrangement.

Kind regards

Flowers can be sprayed silver or gold with special florists spray, however I do not guarantee them lasting particularly on a hot day as fresh flowers  need to breath.

There are some flowers freeze dried & dipped in gold often used as jewelery, ie. known as RISIS orchids from singapore.

Greenery is often sprayed silver or gold & looks very efective & lasts much longer.

They are certainly real! There is a special floral spray which can make that effect. I wouldn't sugest it on flowers unless absolutley needed, but works fantasic with foliages! :)

It is achieved by spraying the flower or foliage.  Ver affective and on point for the 2019/2020 wedding season.

Hi the gold you are seeing is either spray tinted gold by the florist or has been dyed by the supplier/wholesaler

Hello there,

The flowers are real but they have been spray-painted gold! This has been quite a trend lately (even with other colours!)
