Hi Bride,
I have had similiar situation before with my customer. What I have done is to see the bride try on the dress again. I can let out some parts of the dress to fit her or put a lace up at the back, I even have many pregnancy brides that I have to predict in few months how bigger she will change in the waist. But similiar with some others that I can alter the dress that can fit the bride again. Unless there's no material to alter, I have to ask the bride to change to another dress. Good luck to you!

Hello,
I am Perth based Couturier and one of my specialties is redesigning wedding gowns to suit your dilemma. If there is no time to loose the extra weight for whatever reason then find someone local to you to have a chat with them what can be done. I would ring a few business and explain your situation I am sure they will be happy to help. You will need to go in person with your dress so they can see what needs to be done, it is hard to make that sort of assesment via Internet. If you need anymore information feel free to contact me directly.

Depending on the design of the dress it is not always possible to let it out as sometimes there is insufficient seam allowance to do this. If the dress has a zipper you could always have a modest panel put in it turning it into a lace up. If it's already a laceup you could possibly have the modest panel made bigger.
