Hi
It is not necessary - most pregnant women are under doctor's supervision and are aware what they should eat. Foods containing alcohol are a no no
Our feeling about special dietary needs is that firstly and foremost it is YOUR day so start with the decision of what food YOU would like to experience on your wedding day that is the main thing. Once you have decided on that you can then look at the guests you have coming that have special dietary needs and see how you can accommodate them all with one option. For example we often cater paella at weddings which is Chicken, chorizo, prawn and mussel. Now whilst all of our paellas are gluten free some guests are allergic to seafood or the pregnant ladies often dont eat seafood so we offer a smaller non seafood paella which is meat only. We also offer if required a small vegan paella which ticks another whole lot of boxes. All the paellas we cook are also free of eggs, dairy, mushrooms, soy, gluten and alcohol
Kind regards
Louise

Hi there,
In regards to our service we work with you to provide dietary meals for guests who are pregnant, gluten free and alike! Generally there may be a few changes from the meal that you have chosen to allow for the dietary needs of your guests. These changes are made just for the dietary meals.
It is a pretty simple process especially if it is a seated event and we have a floor plan and guest list of where guests are seated. If it is a stand up affair then we will ask the appropriate person ( eg Mater of Ceremonies) to introduce us to your guests with dietary needs.
Good Luck Sean
Absolutely not!
You will find that you will recieve a number of diatery requirements from your attending guests in the lead up to your wedding. It is very difficult to devise a menu to suit all of these guests, however; small changes can be made in order to tweak the menu to suit these diatery requirements. (For example, providing a dairy free or gluten free sauce on a steak dish for a dairy free or gluten free guest or cooking the steak thoroughly for a pregnant guest)
Pregnant guests do require a specific type of menu and care needs to be taken to ensure that the menu is produced safely.
Boardwalk Catering takes these diatery requirements very seriously and will ensure that all diatery requirements notified to us with prior notice are catered for. We also work with our brides and grooms to devise a menu which will suit a number of different diatery requirements with minimal changes. This helps reduce the overall cost of the menu.

No - definitely not! Your caterer should be able to develop a menu that is suitable for all guess to eat, if not, special meals should be provided. We always cater for specific dietary requirements even if that means cooking a whole separate meal just for them.
