Wattlebanks was born from a desire to showcase Tasmanian produce to locals and visitors of Tasmania. 

The business started as a food van servicing a number of Tasmania’s premier summer and winter festivals and markets, and has expanded its footprint to incorporate mobile catering, weddings, private functions and excitingly in 2019 the opening of a café and private function room with garden event space in the picturesque town of Richmond, Tasmania.

The team at Wattlebanks know that your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and you want it to be perfect.  For us perfect means an amazing food experience. 

You can choose from a range of service delivery options from cocktail style stand up service, share plates served to guest tables to grazing buffet tables.  We have several sample menus with an emphasis on fresh, high quality local Tasmanian produce.  Our Wedding Coordinator works closely with every couple to tailor a menu to suit your style and ensure you are happy with the menu your family and friends will enjoy on your wedding day.    

Our two purpose-built vans mean we can cater for destination weddings at remote locations, host at our function room and garden event space in Richmond or we can use your venue’s facilities to deliver your guests a memorable dining experience.

Using our purpose-built fully self-contained vans, we are essentially a mobile restaurant that can be set up almost anywhere you have your heart set on.   

Weddings at Wattlebanks

Nestled in sweeping gardens in the picturesque town of Richmond, just 30-minute drive from Hobart, Wattlebanks function room has floor to ceiling sliding doors that open onto the outdoor garden event space.  Featuring a stone wall with an open fireplace, it is a warm and inviting venue that can cater for intimate weddings up to 45 guests or combined with our garden event space larger scale weddings for up to 120 guests.
