With our relaxed “street food” style menu, “small plate” standup degustation, sit down share plate options or your own specially designed package we can find something to suit.

We can setup our portable commercial kitchen onsite to give you restaurant quality food in your choice of location.

About

The good food catering co started in 2012. Lawrence starting his career early at his family owned café. A talent for cooking developed into work in some of the most popular restaurants in Sydney and on the Gold Coast. Working as a head chef from the age of 24 with 20 years in commercial kitchens. Event catering would give him creative freedom to showcase his culinary skills as well as the ability to provide for his young family. Let our food do the talking for us..

FAQ

How much space do you need? Do you need power?

We have excess to a generator so if we can't plug in we have that option. As long as there is a 3x3m flat area we can fit in our portable kitchen. We can adapt the setup to fit your kitchen, balcony, garage, neighbours yard :) etc etc

Lawrence and co did a fantastic job for our wedding. From the beginning Lawrence was very easy to work with and put together a menu that suited us perfectly. The food was exceptional, all of our guests raved about the food. The wait staff were all brilliant, very friendly and couldn't do more for us. Our favourite had to be the confit duck! Would highly recommend!

Lawrence was fantastic from start to end. We explained what we were thinking of doing with a more casual, buffet style vibe and he just took the idea, presented us with lots of popular, great tasting options which suited our budget. All the guests really enjoyed the food and there was plenty to go around. His wait staff were plesent and professional also.

What is your preferred dining style?

Not sure whether to do buffet, food truck style, sit down on cocktail! They all have their benefits and this is the one thing I am vague on

Really depends on the feel/type of event you want. Ask yourself what you want the food on the day to be like. For formal go with sit down plated menu or share plates. For a less formal stand up menus or market style food truck work well. Depends on what venue you have planned as to what suits. :)

is a candy buffet overkill if we're having dessert and a cake?

In my experience candy buffet is mainly for visual appeal. Super cool looking even if most of it may go uneaten, I like the idea of a wedding being a day of excess :) :)
