Get Expert AdviceHow much alcohol to buy??
Hi! We have a standard beer and wine package for our wedding but we are also including spirits that we need to provide. How many bottles should I get for a 100-person wedding? And what spirits should I get? Thanks!
Plenty Catering Co.
This is a great gesture. You should limit the volume of spirits to perhaps one glass per head (15ml for single, or 30ml for doubles). For the rest of your beverages, generally 3-4 standard glases per head would be ample and represent responsible service of alcohol. A factor that could change this formula is a particularly hot day (DO NOT forget plenty of water).

Do we need to cater meals for our wedding suppliers?
Hi there. Wondering if we're supposed to cater meals for our wedding suppliers, and which suppliers are typically included? Need to factor into our budget.

It's entirely your perogative. However there is sometimes an expectation by the suppliers. To avoid any confusion or misgivings, please advise them from the outset whether you are providing them with a whole or part meal during the reception. That's a very broad question and entirely depends on numbers of things including:
- the nature of the event
- whether there are pauses for speeches
- whether ther are specific diets to consider
One thing for sure is "family style" where there may be share platters tend to create an overabundance of food required to offer variety. Generally "family style" or "share platters at the table" almost invariably make the entire meal production more expensive.
