We are unique in Tasmania in the wedding market. We offer beautifully groomed horses, presented immaculately for your special occasion. A driver and groom are always present to ensure the proceedings are well run and safe for all guests and we always dress in authentic period costume. We guarantee you of our professionalism.

Prior to your wedding day, we will come and meet you personally to ensure the best route to your ceremony or reception venue. We are happy to meet with your wedding photographer and videographer beforehand to guarantee a magic memory of your day. Please be aware that we are restricted from travelling on high-speed roads or highways for everyone’s safety and that some streets may be too steep for safe passage of a horse and carriage. Don’t worry, however, we can always organise an alternative route so that your dream of a horse and carriage becomes a reality.

You can choose from our stunning open landau carriage or our white glass wedding coach. You can also have your choice of matched pairs of horses!

We spoil our bridal couple with champagne and chocolates as they enjoy a relaxing trip in the carriage to their reception.

Thinking of having your ceremony in a special location such as a winery or historic properties like Woolmer or Brickendon? These venues are perfect for a horse and carriage and we can travel anywhere in Tasmania. Venues within 60km of Hobart do not incur a travelling charge. For other areas, a reasonable travel charge applies.

Heritage Horse Drawn Carriages

A horse and carriage is the perfect way to arrive at your wedding! All the focus is on the bride (and groom), so the transport for the bridal party can be whatever you can organise but when you arrive at the ceremony with whoever is giving you away and then travel to your reception in a carriage, heads will definitely turn. We offer the choice of our white bridal coach or black open landau. We offer the most professional service which we guarantee will make your wedding day a wonderful memory for everyone there. We travel MUCH further than 500m. I'm not sure why that would be quoted - possibly from experience with some operators on the mainland. All you need to keep in mind is that you don't want to arrive with sweaty horses, the route that needs to be taken and the time it takes. We'll travel up to 10km if required.

Horse and carriage - but should i book a car as well ?

I want to book a horse and carriage take me to myy ceremony. do you think ill be able to use it all day and night or should I also book a wedding car to give the horse a break lol

With our wedding service, we pick up the bride and whoever is giving her away and time for photos, transporting to the ceremony, wait for the Bride and groom after the ceremony and photos and then transport to the reception. It generally takes several hours and the horses are just fine with that. You'll need a car to leave from your reception.

Do I need wedding cars for the guys too?

Or do just the girls use them? we have a large bridal party and I'm not sure whether it's worth us all getting fancy cars.

With a horse and carriage, it is designed mainly for the bride and groom. However, we have just done a wedding last Saturday where we had both our carriages and the whole bridal party was accommodated. Generally, the bride arrives at the ceremony in the carriage with whoever is giving her away (and possibly a page boy and flower girl). After the ceremony, the bridal couple take a quiet ride together in the carriage, enjoying their complimentary champagne and Norman & Dann chocolates. We take them to the reception or to wherever there are photographs organised. We're more than happy to accommodate any requests for special photos/locations.
