Vegan and celiac guests - they can't eat the cake I've chosen, so what do I give them?

A few of my guests are vegan and gluten intolerant. They've specified on the RSVP that they'll bring their own dessert, but I feel like this cheapens my wedding. What do I give them if they can't eat the cake I've chosen?

I have an amazing selection of gluten free cakes available. You could have a separate gluten free cake or cupcakes available for your guests. Please contact me at info@cakepassion.com.au. Happy to help!

Vegan GF cupcakes are an option or if you prefer the look of a slice of cake a small slab is also an option :-)

You can always order vegan gluten free cupcakes for them - or an alternative dessert. Many cake designers can offer these options. We have a range of alternatives for special diets that can ensure your guests are all included.

Hi Jackie,

I would suggest as others have mentioned here. Perhaps cupcakes as they are easier to distribute and also may be a little less expensive than a small cake.

Best of luck!

Hi Jackie, I just received your message this evening. Happy to advise you. I would organise a small batch of cupcakes suitable for gluten intolerant and vegans. This would be a good addition, alongside your wedding cake. You either do 1 batch gluten free and 1 batch vegan or just 1 batch vegan for both. This would be far better than organising a second cake. Best of luck

Ask your baker/decorator create a smaller cake just for these guests. And if they don't, then we specialise in allergy friendly cakes ;) (That taste amazing too!)

Hi Jackie,

I would make similar suggestion to the other suppliers.

In the past I made GF /vegan cupcakes as well as sheet cakes to cater for guests' special diets.

You could ask your cake supplier if they could make a small cake that is gluten free and vegan which could go straight to the kitchen and be kept separate from the main cake. This can then be cut and served to those guests especially and that way they can still enjoy a piece of your wedding cake, no-one would be any the wiser!

Alternatively you could consider having one of the tiers of your cake made gluten free and vegan, this will very much depend on the style of your cake though so you would need to discuss the feasibility of that with your cake supplier.

Hopefully that helps and you are able to work something out to keep everyone happy! xxx

Hi Jackie.

We don't do gluten free cakes but what I always suggest to my brides is get the cake for the other people as normal and coles have a greens product that is gluten free.

If someone cake bake it we can decorate it with fondant only and it will be in the kitchen as a kitchen cake.

Hope this will help you out.

Kind regards

Pina
