We suggest 3-6 months. You’ll find most shops will be booked out. So to get your dream cake exactly how you want. We recommend you lock it in. Always good to check where you order from us a registered and insured business to avoid any disappointments.

The wedding cake cake is a huge part of your day don’t risk dispoiment due to being disorganized.

You can order your wedding cake as early as you like up until about 4 weeks before the wedding to ensure that the specific cake artist that you desire to make your wedding cake will be available!

I recommend a lead time of 2-6 months so as to not get dissappointed if you really want a certain cake stylist but thats not to say were not ready for last minute orders .

The ealier the better to ensure you can get your preferred cake artist to make your cake, plus depending on the design certain elements need to be made or ordered in advance to ensure we can get all the products for the design of the cake. Though there have been couples call last minute due to unforseen circumstances that I've been able to help them out.

Hope this answers your question on How far in advance to order your wedding cake.

Hi

Its never too early or late to order a cake for your special day, But its always better to give more notice and book in your cakes and bakes well in advance. I do get booked out real quick and i would not like to let any clients down. Its not unsual fro the birdes to book the cake in. So with me its never too late too.

Hi,

It will vary depending on where you're getting your cake from and the style of cake you choose.  The bigger places tend to book out for wedding season.  Smaller places would need less notice.   One month would be ideal for say a semi - naked cake.

It is best to order at least 2-3 months in advance as this firstly ensures you can book in your cake supplier as once they become fully booked they would not be able to take your booking. Secondly it allows for any special order items to arrive in time and for any hand made items to be made in rediness for your cake.

Having said that if you order months in advance you also lock in the price at the time you order in case there is a price increase.

Great question.

Time frame is totally up to the individual couple, some book their cakes after their engagement party, otherwise will search for the right baker & take their time.

It''s best to organise yourself sooner rather than later, causing yourself less stress, half the battle is design/theme, servings & flavours. If you have these factors it will help you find a suitable baker.

Hope this helps & good luck.
