Weather is one thing you can't predict so it is smart to plan an indoor wedding at that time of year. Some beautiful places out of the CBD for indoor ceremonies are:

North West: Emu Bottom, Roombas, Goona Warra, Overnewton Castle

West: Windmill Gardens, La gomme rouge, Shadowfax winery

East: Lyrebird Falls, Poets Lane, Linley Estate

South East: Brighton Savoy, Riva St Kilda

Or - go to your favourite local café/restaurant/bar and ask them what they would do for you. Some venues will move 'mountains' to create your special day.

There are some beautiful wineries that have open fire places such as Yarra Glen or Red Hill; Monsalvat in Eltham has a gorgeous chapel, as well as other lovely rooms, as has Avalon Castle. Emu Bottom in Sunbury have rooms - in fact, most venues have beautiful indoor areas, as you always have to have an alternative in case it rains, so you really don't need to limit yourself. You may find many venues are also willing to charge a lower rate over winter, too. Good luck~

When I played 'Father of the Bride' in the Easy Weddings TVC, we shot the ceremony in the beautiful chapel at Potters Receptions in Warrandyte. This could be well worth considering.
