Rehearsals are an important part of your planning and preparation proceas. I encourage all of my couples to conduct a rehereasal and include unlimited support for this in most of my packages.

Hi

This depends on the celebrant's service agreement and fee schedule.

I include the rehearsal in the cost.

Best wishes.

Hi there, not if your location is close by. If your location requires travel it's often good to do this the night before for example.

A rehearsal should be a part of your celebrant's wedding package. It allows all parties involved to feel comfortable on the day. However, it is not compulsory, and many couples opt not to have a rehearsal, particulary if they would like it all to be a surprise on the day.

A rehearsal can be done at the venue, or any place that is mutually convenient for everyone. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions.

Happy planning!

Kind regards,

Not usually.  Your celebrant usually factors this into their quote anyway.  I don't use the term "rehearsal" as it conjures up visions of all these big American do's with huge dinner party's afterwards.  I tend to refer to this as a "walkthrough" of the ceremony.  I have had a couple of people request no walkthrough at all, as they only had a couple of guests.  Also, it isnt always easy to get everyone there who should be there, all on the same day.  I do advise my couples though, to try and keep it just to members of the Official Party and other participants, such as readers of poems etc.  Otherwise you lose the "wow" factor on the day.

Hi There:

My charge includes the following: Lodgment of papers, Registered postage, personalised services 24/7 and a continual offer of assistance in planning; the writing of all materials needed for the service, all insurances, music licences and downloads,  PA system, rehearsal and a guaranteed last minute change of any materials should any emergency arise within an hour of the service.

The couple receive the folder and pen used at the service - with extra copies bound and presented to parents if requested. A special cast iron dragonfly is given as a gift for the couple as a token and reminder of their special day.

Kind Regards

Joy Perkins

No way!  I wouldn't feel comfortable going into your ceremony without a run through and the knowledge the everyone is happy with their roles. Your rehehearsal is a part of the whole package! It's also a great time to get together and really see what's going to happen on your day..... we see things in a different light....  sometimes magic happens

Rehearsal charges are generally built in to the overall celebrant fee. Depending on the location, your celebrant might need to charge you a travelling allowance however, especially if two trips are needed to a distance further than the average, so make sure you've discussed this when you first agree on the terms and conditions. (ie one for the rehearsal, the second for the wedding)

It's up to each couple as to whether they want a rehearsal or not. Over the years I've found some have a great time and are really relaxed, others go through things in minute detail, and others don't want one at all!

Check with your celebrant just to be sure.

I always include a rehearsal at no extra cost - this can be at the location of the wedding (if venue permits) or alternatively can be arranged anywhere else instead. I often recommend a rehearsal as it gives everyone a great idea of what to expect on the day and allows any unforseen issues to be ironed out well before the wedding day itself.
