I'm thinking of eloping in a nice hotel suite/room. Do we have to advise the hotel of an elopement if it's just going to be in the hotel room with 2 witnesses?

No. If it's a private room/suite in a hotel and there are no actual "wedding guests", then it's fine. So long as your partner, witneses and the Celebrant know what your room number is, nobody else needs to know.
Yes you can... All you need is two witnesses present over the age of 18 years and your marriage celebrant :)

no, you dont need to inform the hotel of a wedding ceremony,
If you are on a park or a beach, those are regulated and yes you might need a permit
but back yards, front rooms, hotel or motel rooms - you do not need to tell anyone
Yes you can elope in a hotel room, as long as you have your celebrant and 2 witnesses (over 18 years old).
As far as advising the hotel, I think it wold be wise to let them know, and im sure it wouldnt be a problem.
That sounds very personal and if you're wanting any assistance to make it extra special, it might be worth mentioning when you're booking the room. The hotel may offer an upgrade or bottle of celebration. But really it isn't something you have to tell the hotel about. xox Deb
No, I don't Imagine you would have to let them know. You could if you wanted too though (might score you a free bottle of bubbles!)

I have done 2 of these. As one asked the hotel for staff for witnesses I guess the hotel knew. The other one, I do not know if they advised the hotel. If only 2 witnesses I can not see the need to, however as a courtsey it would be ok.

The primary goal is to make your elopement a special and memorable experience. If you are going to ask the hotel for any special arrangements then it's best to work closely with them to ensure that everything goes smoothly on your big day. If you don't need their help, then I wouldn't worry about notifying them.

Ask a question
Check with the hotel as they probably need to know the number of people attending and whether you intend partying in the room.
Suggest couple two witnesses and celebrant then lunch or dinner elsewhere.
