FAQ
Absolutely! I love a road trip, boat trip or a plane trip. I am registered to officiate weddings anywhere in Australia.
Case by Case.
If i am travelling down South from Perth, yes we can arrange a fuel / travel fee on top of the Celebrant charges.
If i need to get on a boat like Rottnest, then the ferry charge will also apply return.
If i need to get on a plane, then yes, we will need to charge for flights + accommodation (if required) on top of the Celebrant charges
Haha no... I will officiate your Marriage and then head home so you can party on.
If by chance the wedding is in the evening and we are doing things differently, then maybe and that would be appreciated.
Its a great qustions.
The initial $250.00 deposit is non-refundable.
If you have already paid the balance and it is within 30 days until the Marriage, then no, it is non-refundable BUT can be held for 18 months from the initial day we completed the Notice of Intended Marriage was completed in case you are able to work things out and we can reset a date. This is due to not being able to rebook another wedding and this is a loss of opportunity / availability i can not fulfil other clients i have had to turn down.
If you have already paid the balance and it is over 30 days until the Marriage, then a 50% refund will be paid back to you.
If you havent paid the balance, then no further claim or payment is to be made.
The Marriage Fees are $1,158.00.
An initial $250.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 3 days to secure your Marriage date / booking. It will not be confirmed until the deposit has been paid.
The balance is due within 30 days of the marriage date.
You can choose to pay up front / cash / EFTPOS / instalments - whatever you choose is fine, however it must be paid in full within 30 days of the wedding date.
If you are not contactable and payment has not been paid, the marriage will not be able to go ahead (every possible way and multiple attempts will be tried to get in touch with you prior - dont worry)
Yes.. The only way i will not be in attendance, is if i am dead!
I take my role as a Celebrant extremly serious and my life revolves around my commitment to you as a Celebrant.
However, i do have a trusted hand full of fellow celebrants where we are all there in case of an emergency.
Rest assured, you are in a good hands and i will never let you down.
Well thats extremly sad and i hope i never have to experience this.
However, we will wait, investigate and do everything we can to ascertain the complication, calm and offer drinks etc to your guests and depending on the circumstances, we will deal with it as it happens.
I try not to book more than one ceremony in a day in case of any unexpected surprises where we have to delay due to traffic, accidents, incidents, cold feet etc...
In terms of a refund... Unfortunately not... The day however can be rescheduled at a date the Celebrant is available to re-officiate, but a rebooking fee of $500.00 applies.
As advised above, if there is absolutely no way for me to be able to attend and officiate your Marriage Ceremony due to an absolute emergency, i will:
* Refund your wedding in full
* Pay the other Celebrant or their time to officiate the Marriage
So the Celebrant costs will be covered for you.
You would be in good hands and a full hand over / transfer of documents will be provided to the other Celebrant to carry on from me
But i will never let you down.
A Marriage requires at least one month before the planned wedding date. The NOIM remains valid for 18 months from the date of lodgement.
In certain circumstances, a Shortening of Time may be granted by the Registrar of Births Deaths Marriages. A fee is payable for the application and isnt guaranteed / non-refundable if not granted.
For example, you complete the NOIM with me on the 1st January, you can get married on the 1st February.
