Being a Marriage Celebrant is an absolute privilege. I get to help make your special day everything you ever dreamt of and more!

I am a happy, positive, warm and fun-loving person, who absolutely loves seeing people in love! I am extremely organised and will make sure any stressful moments are instantly calmed with clarity and care. Every wedding I have witnessed, I have not only been grateful to be a part of, but also cherished the close friendships that have naturally formed.

I will ensure that your Wedding Day will be special and stay in your memories forever. Your ceremony will reflect your individual personalities and the love that you both share. I have been a Senior English teacher for the last 10 years, so pride myself in totally tailoring each ceremony from scratch, so no two ceremonies are the same. I will ensure you experience a totally personalised, meaningful and heartfelt ceremony, unique with humour, heart and soul!

I am a perfectionist and take pride in my appearance, punctuality and presentation.

The whole ceremony process will be fun, exciting and I won’t stop until it is absolutely perfect!

About

I have been a Senior English teacher for over 10 years and attended many weddings that all sounded the same. After having my two children and knowing that I didn't want to go back to teaching full-time, I knew that becoming a Celebrant was the perfect fit for me. It's a career that allows me to use my English skills; writing each of my ceremonies totally from scratch, so no two are ever the same. I can create your personalised ceremony so that it is everything you ever dreamed of and more.

Dani, Where do we even start!! Dani is the most beautiful, kind and caring person who has an obvious passion for what she does. We are so honoured that she was able to perfectly piece together our beautiful ceremony and easily made it the most memorable part of our day! Her professionalism is second to none and this was mentioned by all of our guests who she made the special effort to meet. When we first met Dani we couldn’t believe our luck! We both walked away from our meeting feeling so confident in our decision. Her excitement for us was made clear when that night she drafted up our ceremony after hearing our love story and how we met. It was clear that she listened to absolutely everything we wanted. Our ceremony was seamless, unique, beautiful and so so memorable and it is all thanks to the best celebrant ever! It is so lovely to have met Dani and we look forward to continuing our friendship! Danielle was amazing! She's incredibly supportive, very caring, and genuinely wants to know you both as a couple and make sure your ceremony is personal and perfect. She's well spoken, but down to earth, and doesn't have that "fake voice" I've heard some other celebrants use. As a busy person I really wanted an organised celebrant who would take care of the details without me having to follow them up. Danielle did this and more. I really couldn't rate her more highly. She is a beautiful soul inside and out with a great sense of humour, and a vibrant, kind hearted, easy going way about her that makes anyone and everyone feel comfortable, which made what could be a daunting process enjoyable and stress free. We cannot recommend Dani enough for making everything to do with our ceremony run smoothly from our first email to the big day! 🙌 I knew of Dani prior to becoming engaged & was so excited to book her in as our celebrant very early on. is there an extra charge to have a rehearsal?

Danielle Barker - Marriage Celebrant

A rehearsal should be a part of your celebrant's wedding package. It allows all parties involved to feel comfortable on the day. However, it is not compulsory, and many couples opt not to have a rehearsal, particulary if they would like it all to be a surprise on the day.

A rehearsal can be done at the venue, or any place that is mutually convenient for everyone. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions.

When should I start to think about hiring a Celebrant?

Once you have your date booked, a celebrant should be next on your list. Make sure you do your research to find a celebrant that fits both you and your partners personalities and needs. They need to be able to listen to everything you want and be willing to go above and beyond to make your day everything you ever dreamt of and more. You need to feel comfortable with your celebrant as this is the start of a wonderful relationship and fun journey to having your perfect day!

can i have a religious ceremony not in a church?

Danielle Barker - Marriage Celebrant

Yes, you absolutely can have a religious ceremony wherever you like. However, if you would like to receive your Certificate of Marriage in that faith denomination, then you need to be married by a priest or minister of that religion. However, if you are happy with a non religious Certificate of Marriage, then a civil celebrant is all you need. A civil service also allows you the freedom to select what you would like in your ceremony. I have a Cert IV in Theology and Ministry, so I am more than happy to answer any further questions you have.
