Does your fee include the official marriage certificate?

My total fee includes ordering the official marraige certificate when I register your wedding. It's easy for me to do and one less thing for you to worry about.

Is there anything in the ceremony that I HAVE to include

There's a few things that must, by law, be included in the ceremony.

I have to say your full names at least once during the service.

I must say the monitum.

A section of your vows has some particular wording that must be used.

Other than that the rest is totally up to you!

Are there other services you offer?

As well as helping you to craft the perfect ceremony I can also run the music for the service and, if you need, I provide an MC service.

Can you advice on traditions that I can use to make the ceremony special?

There are countless wedding traditions that can be incorporated into your ceremony. I have a range of examples in my Wedding Information Pack which I'm happy to share with you. Contact me for a free copy.

What questions should I be asking a celebrant to make sure they're the right fit for us?

Does the celebrant write individual ceremonies for each couple or are there just pre-prepared ones to pick from?

Is the celebrant willing to meet you at a time that fits in with you and your partner’s working hours?

Does the celebrant have a quality, portable sound system so that all the guests can hear the ceremony?

Does the celebrant provide options for music?

Will the celebrant order the standard marriage certificate for you (needed for change of name on driving licence or passport)?

Will the celebrant come up with ideas for your wedding if you want to do something a little bit different but don’t know what?

Thoroughly enjoyed being able to organise our wedding from the UK to coincide with our Australian holiday/ honeymoon (Aug 2023). Very involved in all aspects of our special day (Zoom calls to the UK/ emails/ devising our own personal service and vows). Loved the informality and non-religious aspects and our chosen setting (Melbourne's Botanic Gardens) and Karyn's professional and inclusive approach- would absolutely recommend Karyn for your special day where you have total control over how that day looks and feels! 💗
