This saves you weeks of dealing with the governemnt and saves you $68 in printing and postage fees! (Check with other celebrants if they do the same.)

We'll meet about 6 months before the day. There we'll sign and lodge the NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) and talk through what a ceremony looks like, getting your thoughts on each aspect.

To lock everything in I'll send you two questionnaires: one asking about the wording of particular aspects and what songs you'd like to use. The second is about your story and what makes you, you.

Once you've completed the questionnaires, I'll put together your ceremony, contacting you to iron out issues when needed.

Most of the time I only have one meeting with the bride and groom and several emails.

If you ask to read or edit the ceremony beforehand, you are more than welcome to!

With that being said, you will have a better time if you don't...

You will have planned out every element of the day to the tee, sometimes it's nice to have a bit of a surprise.

For a wedding to be legal, there's only one paragraph that needs to be spoken by a legal celebrant - the rest is up to you!

When we meet for the first time to sign the NOIM your chosen celebrant will come along too.

I'll use the first to make a draft of the ceremony including all the legal aspects and share the second with your chosen celebrant. I'll structure the ceremony and make sure it reads and flows well, leaving your friend to add a personal touch and tell your story using their own words.

I will usually arrange another online meeting with your chosen celebrant to speak through the finer things and make sure they're ready.
