HI there,

1. The process a Celebrant uses can vary on the number of meetings per couple, some may take only one meeting, where other couples may need more. You are required to have a NOIM witnessed, which is the first step, and then move forward from there  
2. First and formost, you should choose a celebrant that you feel comfortable with, who you like and who can work with you to make the ceremony you want.
3. Your celebrant, should be helpful and offer you suggestions and guidance in the content of your ceremony, taking into account any additional aspects you want to include
4. They should clearly explain what they provide to you and what you need to do with regard to legalities and paperwork
5. Give you all costs upfront
6. Make you feel at ease and communicate as much as you need through the time up to your wedding day and afterwards if you need their help

To confirm what I do as a Celebrant:

• Complete and register all the documentation required by law, to legally register your marriage
• Write and deliver your ceremony (after discussion with the both of you, re additions or what you would like to have and say in your ceremony) 
• Solemise your marriage acording to Australian Law ( marry the bride and groom) 
• Supply a PA System for your Ceremony, a Signing Table or Lecturn and Chairs with Sashes 
• Meet with you both and communicate information and give suggestions and guidance to help make the ceremony fit what you want for your special day 
• Have a rehearsal if you wish too
• Give you information about what is required to change the brides surname and how to obtain a marriage certificate for this purpose
• Be available to answer any followup questions
• Be your support, to guide you comfortably and reassuringly through your ceremony
• Work with any nominated people on the day

• A good celebrant listens to what you want. If you need help with ideas and sugestions they will give you suggestions, ideas, so you can make up your mind what you would like.
• They are attentive to what you want in your ceremony, and should have a confident and guiding nature, so you feel safe and happy with your relationship with them, and that you are being looked after.
• They must be punctual and willing to work with you and any nominated family or suppliers on the day and leading up to the day. 
• Look after you and having your best interest at heart, be a happy bright person.
