About

I'm Carmel from Pink Ceremonies, Marriage Celebrant. And I just love being a Marriage Celebrant, being able to make 2 people one married couple. I have 8 children, 7 adults and 1 teenager, not to mention 6 grandkids. One of the main reasons I got into this elite profession , was because of the Celebrant that we had. I always thought that I could do better than her and set my sights on exactly that. I want to give my couples what they want, not what a celebrant wants to do for them.

FAQ

Yes, I service the Melbourne, Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula & Dandenong Ranges and the whole of the South Eastern area.

The Law states that you should book your Celebrant no more that 18 months and no less that 1 month prior to your wedding date.

I usually ask for Drivers Licences, Passports and Birth Certificates. I can access the right information without the passport, The BC contains parent information that is required.

Not necessarily. Depending on if you are having a large guest list and or a large number of members in the bridal party. Many private elopements are just a handful guests/bridal party. So I just talk you through each step of the way either beforehand or as the moments happen.

You can have your private elopement wherever you wish, with in reasonable and safe conditions. For example, Your home, your backyard, a local park or similar. I have a private chapel in my backyard, just for those moments in time.

Yes you most certainly can. And I can help you write them if you wish from the many and varied books I have collected over the years. And somewhere during the ceremony, you will need to say your legal Vows. I can also print them out on lovely Vow Cards that you can keep as a souvenier.

Yes I have 3 differnt package deals for you to choose from.

Bare Bones,

Pretty Nifty,

Full Fare.

Yes I do. I have a great photographer that I can highly recommend

A delicous Wedding Cake Maker who makes the most divine cakes.

Also a lovely lady in my area who sells Wedding dresses, and quite reasonably priced

And if you have a dog, who you want at the ceremony, we can help with that as well

By all means. I have and intagram account, Facebook and LinkedIn, all under Pink Ceremonies. So please check me out.

I also have a folder in my office of photos of me at work.

Not necessarily, but I do prefer it.  As if I should make a slight spelling error, I can easily alter the forms there and then. If you prefer, I can witness you signing them via Zoom

The very first document that needs to be signed, is the NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage). Once this is signed, then starts your 18 months, or your one month prior to the wedding date. So for example, if you sign the NOIM on the 25th July 2023, you can be married on the 26th of August 2023. Or if you signed the NOIM on the 23rd September 2022, you have until 22nd of March 2024 to be married

August 2023

Carmel did a wonderful job on our wedding day. From all the legal documents to receiving our Official Marriage Certificate. Her professionalism is beyond reproach, especially with having to postpone our wedding 3 times due to covid.
