OVERVIEW

Let me guide you through the legal aspect of your wedding, create a ceremony that referents your love and life together and help you get MARRIED!!

  •  Marriage is not a Destination. It is journey with someone you choose to travel with. There might be twists and turns, but true love endures and strengthens. Let me help you get started on your journey together as a Married Couple.

I love creating and presenting loving/fun/happy/traditional/alternative ceremonies for couples embarking on the most exciting journey together you can ever take. From Young Couples to Elderly Love, I look forward to guiding you towards a loving and successful marriage.

I create services for people who after years together want to celebrate their relationship with a vow renewal. I look forward to helping you create a ceremony or service that celebrates your love.

I love a great party. (Any excuse to have a gathering actually.)

I can dress formally with elegance or hilariously as a T-Rex. I ran the event and dressed up as Kate Bush for the Most Wuthering Heights Day ever for three years in Adelaide. If you want a “May the Fourth be with you” theme, or a formal black tie affair, I’m your girl.

I have worked in natural health for many years, and now work with people living with disability as well as teach reiki, provide body work, make beautiful cakes, love yoga, and am a qualified Hypnotherapist. I have studied lots of different subjects and love to learn.

I learn so much from everyone I meet. I have much I can share with those that come to me for ceremonies, from where to go for cakes, photographers and flowers, to not walking away from your marriage without seeking professional help from a relationship specialist. No marriage is perfect. Paul and I sought help at one stage of our marriage and it saved it. I am a realist and believe in being proactive. I am

also now a facilitator or premarriage counselling using the Prepare-Enrich program

Lets celebrate your love!!

About

I became a Marriage Celebrant to marry two of my dearest Friends, who were finally able to marry once same sex marriages became legal. I have been doing funerals for my friends and family members for many years now, the most challenging being my beautiful husbands, so it’s nice to be doing Marriages now. I’m a mum, sister, daughter and friend and had a loving 30 year marriage. I work in the disability sector, have qualifications in Hypnotherapy, Drug and alcohol and Mental Health fields.

FAQ

Authorised Celebrants must not agree to marry a couple with less that one month's notice (Unless a shortening of time has been approved by a prescribed Authority - Attorney General's Department) or falsify the dates on the NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) to make it appear as if one month's notice was given.

So you need to provide your celebrant with the NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) No earlier than 18months before your wedding day and no later that one month without the Attorney Generals approval for under one month's notice.

Make and appoinmtent with me and lets meet as this gives us a chance to meet, chat about your hopes for your wedding and get to know each other.

So if you get ideas of crawling out of your window and running away to get married, remember it takes at least a month to make it happen!!

YES!!!!!

I love a good dress up party.

I also like to dress to look elegant and will fit in with the dress code of your wedding.

YES!!!

I highly recommend you meet with a relationship counsellor at least once prior to your wedding.

We have all been raised in different families with different family values. If you really havent chatted about money, having or not having children, do or dont you do IVF, are you both expecting each other to work when children arrive, what each other's love language is, please talk to someone.

The Hoffman Institute has some great books and card kits that start you both talking about more than just the dress, cars and what your bar tab will be.

Life throws us challenging situations and my darling husband lived with depression long before I realised what it was. We lived with a counsellor for three days (it was a residential facility, we didnt just roll up with a swag!) His help saved our marriage, helped us learn more about each other, and many years later we had the opportunity to thank him for his assistance.

Relationship counselling saves marriages. Yes it is hard. Really hard. But so is starting over again and ending in the same place with a new partner!

Can use your marriage certificate to change you middle name to you Maiden name?

Wondering if you can change your name from [First name] [Middle Name] [Maiden Name] to [First name] [Maiden Name] [Spouse's Surname] using just your marriage certificate. I am looking to replace my existing middle name with my Maiden name after our wedding.

Lee-Anne Bennett Civil Celebrant

Good question. If you are just taking your partner's name you can use your marriage certificate but as this is a change of name away from your original birth certificate and marriage certificate you would have to apply for a change of name through Births Deaths and Marriages.

How many people can you have at the moment with the virus?

Lee-Anne Bennett Civil Celebrant

It is different in every State Jeanette. Best check with your state's Covid 19 Help Line as they will have the most current information for you.

But if someone has the virus, they should stay away totally along with anyone who lives or associates with them.
