Hi Mariana.
You can lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage with your chosen Celebrant no more than 18 months prior to your ceremony and no less than 1 month. Also the Certificates you sign on the day of your marriage must be lodged with the relevant State Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) within 14 days of the ceremony - this is done by your Celebrant. You would then apply for your Official Certificate of Marriage through your State BDM and depending on how busy they are will depend on when you will receive it. Of course you can apply for a priority service, for an additional fee .
Hope that helps.
Cheers Michael
Help! I need vows help, I honestly have no idea what to say! I love her. What else should I say?
I asked my friends and they said it'd come to me. It hasn't. I am freaking out!!!

I provide all my brides and grooms with a wonderful book by Wendy Haynes "Create your own inspiring wedding vows" which is a wonderful guide to putting your thoughts together. Just think what you love about this person you're marrying and what will you do to make your marriage grow into something more wonderful than life is right now. All you need is those 2 statements and you have it solved - only needs to be 2 or 3 sentences.
Your Celebrant should print them on some nice card in large type so you have no problems reading them on the day. Wishing you all the best and I'm sure Friday will be one full of brilliant memories.

Hi Before the ceremony can take place you and your fiancee will need to complete the Notice of Intended Marriage at least 30 days prior to the ceremony. Then on the day the Celebrant has to say a paragraph of legal wording, the bride and groom have to say a couple of legal words, sign the neccessary paperwork and you are married. The Celebrant then lodges the paperwork with the relevant Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages. Your Celebrant will lead through all this and should make it as easy as possible for you. Cheers Michael
