A vintage 60s wedding dress calls for a groom’s look that feels timeless, elegant, and effortlessly classic. Depending on the level of formality and the overall wedding vibe, here are a few stylish options:
1. Classic 60s Elegance: Black or Ivory Tuxedo
2. Retro Mod: Slim-Fit Suit in Charcoal or Navy
3. Playful & Unique: Tweed or Velvet Blazer
4. The Finishing Touches
The key is to ensure the groom’s suit enhances the vintage vibe while still feeling sharp and stylish. If you need help finding the perfect look, reach out at hello@modusoperandisydney.com.au—we’d love to assist!
I would love to see your dress to give you some specific advice. Depending on the style, and tone of the dress there are plenty of options.
1 - You could select from the range of 60's styles to match the dress
2 - You could keep him classic in a tuxedo - this will compliment almost anything
3 - You could opt for stylising the outfits, you vintage, him modern
The options go on. But keep in mind things like, where you are getting married. If your dress is vintage, and the venue is quite rustic as well, then no purpose to dressing him modern. Use your theme's and colours to style him, and try an let him be a part of the process.
If you do want some specific guidance, feel free to e-mail me direct (enquiries@brittonsformalwear.com.au) particularly if you have a photo of the dress, as this would help a lot.

Hi there,
Thanks for your query!
Depending on the tone of your dress, a linen or wool suit in a light colour, navy or blue would compliment well. We would also suggest brown accessories such as shoes and/or belt to match.
It's a good idea to go with him to a suit store and have a look at the styles that would suit your dress. Perhaps even have him try on a few and putting your dress on with him (you could blindfold him if you wanted to keep the mystery)!

Hi
The best option would be to take a photo with you when looking at suit stores, that way the store may be able to suggest some suitable (pun intended :)) options, taking into consideration the colour, design and features of your dress. Dont forget to consider the Groom and his build when choosing designs...... an experienced suit person/tailor is invaluable in this situation.
Best wishes
