The experienced events team works closely with couples to curate unique experiences, ensuring no two weddings held within the venue are alike. If your guest list is creeping over 100, you’re able to capitalise on exclusive hire of the entire venue, and for more intimate events, just head upstairs to the City Room. This spacious coastal room can accommodate cocktail-style and seated receptions and overlooks one of Melbourne’s only remaining sea baths. White decor and furnishings are complemented by the abundance of natural light flooding through the floor-to-ceiling windows. For micro-weddings, you may choose to utilise the private dining room on the second floor.

From the second floor, you’ll have access to a private decking. The main deck is perfect for outdoor ceremonies, where Port Phillip Bay becomes the stunning backdrop to your vows. Your ceremony will enjoy an elegant coastal aesthetic with a simple timber arbour, floral arrangements, and chic white deck furniture. In the event of wet weather, your ceremony can be moved inside the City Room.

The culinary team at The Baths Middle Brighton create delicious, fresh food inspired by Mediterranean dishes. The extensive menu comes as cocktail canapes, alternate drop, banquets, and shared plates. They offer a range of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as dairy- and gluten-free alternatives.

On site ceremonies are welcomed for exclusive events. Ceremonies are held on the below locations. Please note number of chairs as well.

  • Beach ceremony
    • 100 pax maximum capacity, all chairs, arbour, signing table etc are through a supplier, we can recommend a company that is familiar with our venue.
    • Selected area of the beach will be sectioned off for exclusive use.

  • Balcony ceremony
    • 60 pax maximum capacity, we provide 8 x white metal chairs, 1 x signing table.

  • Indoor City End ceremony (Wet weather option)
    • 140 capacity on a stand up cocktail, 8 x black chairs, 1 x signing table

At The Baths, we are extremely flexible regarding guest dietary requirements. We just need to know what dietary requirements there will be attending and we cater to these on the day. 

Tentative bookings can be held for up to 7 days, upon receipt of a deposit the booking will then be confirmed. 

For exclusive wedding and event bookings, the deposit amount is $2,000 with the outstanding balance due 3 weeks before the date of the event. Once we have received payment the deposit is non-refundable.

The Baths has ramps to all areas of the venue, including a lift and accessible restroom in accordance to the Discrimination Act 1992. 

The dance floor measurement is 4x4m and is always placed at the city end of the venue. If you require a larger dance floor and depending on the floor plan for your event, an externally supplied dance floor can be hired. 

Metered council operated parking is in operation around The Baths. Between the hours of 8am and 8pm up to 4 hour parking can be purchased for $13.50 or $5.70 for 1 hour. 

Alternate drop - a choice of 2 selections are made during the organisatioin of the event, then on the day these are served to guests on a 50/50 drop basis. With alternate drop we suggest catering to the majority, dietary requirements can easily be catered to individually. 

Sharing menu - Guests will receive all items on the sharing menu. 

Choice - a choice of 3 selections for each course is made during the organisation of the event and guests can make their own choice on the day. 

Summer menu selections and sharing options can still be chosen during April-August months but will be charged at the price of the menu during those summer months. Our winter wedding and event offer extends only to what is included in the package, and can't be interchanged with other menu options. 

The Baths Package includes the options in the house beverage drinks package. If you wish to upgrade and choose your own wines, you can do so at an additional cost stated in the add-ons. The beverage package must run for the duration of the event. Unfortunately, corkage on spirits is not available. 

Depending on the date and time of your wedding or event, suppliers are welcome to bump in from 8am for lunch functions and from 3.45pm for evening functions. Inventory cannot be stored and must be removed from the venue after the function as concluded. Small items may be stored 48 hours prior; with bigger items bumped in on the day. 

Unfortunately, we don't offer menu tastings, however we encourage guests to come and try our a la carte offering as your wedding or event choices will be of the same high standard.

My partner and I had our wedding at the Upstairs, and it’s been such a pleasant and wonderful experience working with Cindy, her team, and the rest of the staff from day one to the event itself. We appreciate all the timely responses, recommendations, and updates of the team. Our experience on the day was exceptional. The serving staff were very attentive and we really appreciated the small plates of canapes that were served to us while we were too busy taking photos and chatting with friends and family. We received a lot of compliments on the food. Quoting one of our friends, it is "on top of the list" when it comes to weddings. The favourite main dish was the beef cheeks and the favourite dessert was chocolate tart. The servings were generous, the canapes were all very yummy (though the lobster on charcoal tortillas were the absolute best), and wine list was excellent. Huge thanks to the bar staff for making one of the cocktails in spite of some miscommunication and we didn't realise until too late that what we’ve requested wasn't expected by staff to be part of the cocktail list on the day. The venue was perfect for us and the sunset in Autumn (timed perfectly during the ceremony) made it both intimate and magical. The staff also worked very well with our wedding coordinator and small issues were smoothly resolved in the background, giving us and our guests a very memorable evening. We highly recommend booking The Baths Upstairs for any event, especially a wedding.

We want to express our immense gratitude to the team at The Baths Middle Brighton, they were fantastic in helping us achieve our vision from the start and leading all the way up to our wedding day. They were very accommodating to all of our requests and great at suggesting ways to achieve our dream wedding. On the night the staff were all fantastic, attentive, welcoming and professional. Drinks were always topped up and there was always someone there to look after us. Food was amazing, catered to dietary restrictions without any hassle and lots of compliments to the chefs from us and our guests. The entire wedding planning process was enjoyable, organised and smooth thanks to the wonderful support provided by The Baths.
